Review of the one day diet. Can dieting for one day help?

The One Day Diet program is very popular because it helps an obese person lose weight rapidly, and this is achieved through a reduction in calorie intake on the diet days. It is a special low carbohydrate diet, which does not cause your body to lower its metabolic rate when you reduce the amount of carbohydrates you are consuming. In comparison, the other low-carb diets such as the Atkins Diet or the South Beach Diet will starve your body of carbohydrates. And if this continues for several days, your body will lower its metabolic rate to survive on fewer calories. And this will mean, you will lose less fat with the same effort. So, the One Day Diet program is better in this respect.

The concept of the One Day Diet program is very creative. It drastically reduces carbohydrates and calories for just one day. You are free to eat a regular meal that is full of carbohydrates and calories on the next day. So your body will never guess what’s coming and will not be able to automatically adjust to any fixed routine. The metabolic rate will not be lowered and you will be in total control.

So the first day would be the Diet Day and the following day would be the Food Day. And that is the One Day Diet program for you.

The amount of calories you consume on a Food Day is up to you. You should eat as much calories as your body was used to before you started the program. Your body must never sense the food shortage. But if you eat too many calories, more than your body needs to supply its energy needs for that Food Day, then the excess will be stored as fat.

So try to eat just the amount of food and calories that is just right for your daily energy needs on your Food Days, and you won't gain any weight. Here’s a tip that can help you follow this. Always try to eat just a bit less than a full stomach.
