It's time for a new "do"
I have had about shoulder length hair for a long time and I'm sick of my bangs being in my face all the time.
Hopefully I'll be happy with this decision after I cut my hair.."
Heather said: "When I was younger, I never cared about trying something new with my hair.
I remember one time I messed it up BAD, it was horrible (at my own hands, not a licensed hairdresser) to make a long story short, my nickname became "Billy Idol" for my junior year in high school..
I have very fine hair, and it looks stringy when it gets humid and hot. And wearing a ponytail gets to be boring after a while.
So I'm browsing through hairstyle magazines for some cute ideas.. maybe a crop?"
Heather said: "I'm thinking a "pixie" type cut is on the way.
I want something that's easy to maintain and is out of my face.
No reason to be a wimp :) Hair grows back!"
UniqueMystique said: "Mine is the longest it's been in years. My oldest only remembers me with short hair. I'm wanting to get mine layered a bit more...it' starting to get heavy and I don't want any headaches creeping back up."
UniqueMystique said: "When we moved here 12 years ago....I had hair to the middle of my back. At this time....Susan Powter was on every tv channel and book cover imagineable. For those that don't know who she was....she was claiming to be a weight loss guru. Anyhow....she had short hair...about a half inch or less all over and it was bleached white. I got fed up with my hair one day...it looked horrible from overprocessing. I went in to a salon and told them to cut it short. I kept saying, "shorter". I thought the woman was going to have a coronary. I ended up looking like Susan Powter....minus the bleach!"
UniqueMystique said: "Yup.....it grows back.....I have proof!!!! Hehehehe!!!!!"
UniqueMystique said: "I've been just about every color under the sun. Once I dyed my hair black...and not intentionally. It was supposed to be dark blonde. Someone thought it'd be fun to change the 'color' bottles in the box. I just happened to be the one to buy that box.
Lesson learned: Check the bottles before coloring. :D"
Holly said: "I love the look of highlighted hair. I think you'll look good Snap. It's funny how scarey just cutting one's hair can be...I feel like I need a change as well, but I'm not sure what I want and I'm being a wimp about it! :)"

lotusleaf said: "4 weeks ago i got mine cut short and dyed bright red-and i mean bright red!!! Its almost neon!! i had it black for the winter and then the sun started coming out so i thought hmmm red it is!!!!!!!! i love it-really picks me up!"
