Heather said: "How did it go? Did you guys get all of your laps?"

Heather said: "That is so cool! I'm happy that you guys met up. Hard to believe that of all places, you met here."

Heather said: "Finding a workout partner....priceless!"

lotusleaf said: "I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all their postings and inspirational weight loss stories, it really helps when you feel like you cant be bothered to carry on with it. It turns out that me and Loobe live about 5 mins away from each other, are both psychiatric nurses and very very briefly worked with each other, so how weird is that considering this is a american forum!!! Anyway, we have chatted and decided to go swimming in the week together and to help each other keep motivated-our first session at the pool is tuesday and im really looking forward to it, and hopefully we can keep each other going when the going gets tough!!! My hubbie originally was going to go with me, but its easy to cancel arrangements with him, but it wont be so easy for me now, which is a good thing! Anyway, my point is that having a support network of someone who is in the same place as you is really motivating-Loobe can do 30 lengths so thats what im going to try to do on tuesday! :)"

lotusleaf said: "well i ache terribly!!! had a fab time and Loobe is fab too. woke up this morning aching in my shoulders and tummy muscles, then to top it all, my hubbie gave me a lift into work this morning, and the car broke down, and we have just done alot of walking to get the car sorted, and im fit to drop now!, anyway-im pleased to say we did 32 lengths which is half a mile, which is a great achievement and im really pleased we did it.!!! hope we can go maybe twice a week, but definatley once a week, and have a good old chinwag at the same time!!!!! :)"

loobe said: "I was surprised to find that lotusleaf lived so close (it would take me about 45 mins to walk) and that we have alot in common. Now she has told everyone I can swim 30 lengths I am going to have to make sure I do and no slacking. When I go swimming which has been very sporadic I try to do between 30 and 50 lengths but on a bad day 20. I am hoping that lotusleaf can me motivated as it would be easy for me not to log on to this site for the support I need to keep me going to achieve my goals when I get demotivated or do my usual give up and accept that I am overweight and go back to unhealthy eating. But that is not going to happen again, I hope."

loobe said: "Just to let you all know we both swan 32 lengths :D. I also walked a good mile and a half to the pool too. I felt much better for the walk and swim but my knee is suffering today. You are right UniqueMystic we did spend quite a bit of time chatting in between lengths. I am hoping my hubby will be happy to look after our daughter soaps so we can go again on Thursday. Will keep you posted on our progress."
