It also only cost me 41.75 a month for my monthly gym membership. I say after a month, if there is absolutely no change, try something else, and if that does not work, try try again. The only way to get results is to find something that you like and works for you. I believe in fun, one free day rest, and a continual progress. Keeping strong and carrying on."
Heather said: "I don't know much about that program either.
Did you have to sign a long term contract?"
Heather said: "I would have just left.
I don't like pushy salespeople. When I want to buy something I will.
That's horrible that she was in tears by the time she left."
helplesscase said: "I dont know much about LA weight loss. But if you dont think its doing you any good maybe you should find a different program."
UniqueMystique said: "I think I'd be asking some questions. What else do they have you doing? Are you supposed to be exercising, etc?"
UniqueMystique said: "I'm sure that you'd be happy to snip that dress apart for her too. I know that I would."
Holly said: "I realize you're probably stuck with a certain amount of time at L.A. Weight Loss, but once the time you've paid for is done, I would suggest leaving...unless you're happier by that time.
One of my best friends went into a Portland area L.A. Weight Loss to ask about program details and the price, etc. She found out it would be much more expensive than she felt comfortable with and said she wanted to ask her husband about it first. They were very rude and asked her why she couldn't just put it on her credit card. She said no. Then they asked her why she couldn't just do a payment plan. Again, she said no. Then they told her that her husband would probably want her to spend the money to lose weight.
She finally left then...in tears. So, I have a very bitter taste in my mouth when I hear about L.A. Weight Loss. I'm protective of my friends!"
Holly said: "Yeah, she's a pretty sensitive girl.
She joined Weight Watchers shortly after and has been doing that since December. She has been consistently losing 1/2 pound to 2 pounds every week. She's a very social person and loves the group support. :)
I keep telling her we're going to have to cut half the fabric off her bridesmaid dress so it doesn't fall off!"
Holly said: "Wow, a lot of different people from all over the country don't like L.A. Weight Loss...that really says something."
Holly said: "Oh, I just want to give you a hug :o
and the ladies their a stomp on the foot!
Anyway, I don't know a lot about the program. Do they provdie a gym, or do you have to exercise on your own? The food you said was a big expense...so you didn't pay for the food up front then?
I would say exercise and eat the foods that you feel are best for you. However, I can understand that if there only "support" is telling you what to eat then you feel you had better do it.
I sounds like you don't mind protein, but you want more variety, right? Also, you feel you're getting too many carbs and not enough healthy fat. Well, geez, you've just described a good diet plan (once you through in the vegetables, fruit, and dairy).
Keep us updated!!! :)"

I was told "oh your going places here, your going to move up fast" ect, ect. Well I started to ask exactly what I would be "selling" and when they told me how they basically try to throw a guilt trip on you if you say, I would like to think about it or talk it over with my significant other ect. because a $600 or so sign up fee is a HELLA lot of money. They asked me what I would say if my potential "client" said I need to think about it and they didn't exactly like my response of throwing them a line like "Oh this is you loosing weight here, you need to fork over every penny you have and your first born" What I did tell them though was if a customer wasn't thrilled right off the bat with the sign up fee and then the cost of food and supplements I would tell him or her to talk it over and think about it, because a lot of time money and effort is going into the program. Then finish with here is my contact info. call me anytime with questions conerns ect.
The dm. thought this was crazy at first. She said but you could loose a customer! I said no. If you DON'Tjump down the customers throat and basically threaten them and make them feel like crap b/c they dont have money or if they are tight on money, you have a better chance of them realizing "hey I can trust her, she's not trying to sell me something to make a profit off of me, she really is letting me feel this out"
I have worked in sales just about all my working life and I have learned especially from my last retail job, you dont threaten the customers or jump all over them.Chances are if your up front, honest and leave them alone they will come back and with people too. Yes when I was manager of my jewelry store, I would get customers who were not going to buy that day and they must have asked every question about every stone known to man. Then they left the store without buying anything and not to mention I had dry mouth from talking so much. Next week, my client came back with her friends and her checkbook and purchased.......a lot. Then she refferd me to everyone. You know why? Because I didn't make her feel that she had to buy something and go into bankrupcy. I earned her trust because I was honest and not pushy.
Anywho, needless to say I didn't take the job because I did not believe in the morals. I felt like they only wanted the clients money not their interest at heart and that's not I do my business. To make a VERY long story short. No I do not like L.A. Weight Loss either."
Carol said: "3 1/2 weeks ago I joined LA Weight Loss. I did not quite understand how much money it costs but nevertheless I am committed.
In 1 1/2 weeks beginning with 2 days of mainly juicing and proteins and veggies, I lost 8 lbs. Then off juicing, I started to gain. until 1 1/2 weeks later I gained 2 lbs back.
Has anyone else had any similar experience with LA Weight Loss? I am concerned I will just stay around the same weight now that I lost mostly water."
Carol said: "Thanks for all the responses from Need help - LA Weight Loss. I guess in my desperation (and my neice who did lose 40 lbs and swears by LA Weight Loss - and she is only in her mid 20's so she probably has a much faster metabolism than a 48 year old), I signed on the dotted line for 1 year and you must pay up front. There is no lesser time frame. I did feel great pressure by them to sign up for 2 years for the maintainence. Luckily I did only 1 year. I am going to keep trying since I put the money down and assert myself more with them to examine why I would follow exactly the food regimen and only truly lose weight when I am juicing and doing proteins for 2 days. (which incidently the juice is a huge expense) and then the 2 bars you eat every day - more expense. It seems that the diet is high in carbohydrates and protein and very, very low in fat. Each time I question, why such a diligent soldier could fail, they will point to something I ate which is allowable on their list - and I mean salmon which is high in fat but the good omega 3 fat. Or the scallops are high in fat. Again on their lists. I cannot eat chicken, turkey and white fish for protein everyday. I would go crazy. The reason I joined here is that I thought I would eat the good foods - lean meats of any kind and any kind of fish I like. I have not eaten any desserts, barely any kind of alcohol and if I did it was acceptable amount on the plan. Sunday I did play tennis and still the next day I gained weight! Again I wonder if their products in addition to the very good food choices I am making is just to high in carbohydrates for my body."
