Just enjoy the evening! Angela: I absolutely agree! Have fun with your friend and eat and drink what you want. Make sure to eat healthy the next few days and/or workout extra hard. Being happy is important too! "

Have fun and don't overdo it. Just keep to a smart meal plan and avoid over stuffing yourself. If it has been a month since you have let yourself go for one meal, go for it. Just make sure that one does not turn into 5 meals. One day of rest and relaxation gives you the gusto you need to carry on and do well for a while."

Heather said: "Today is a new day. Razor, have you you considered using the patch? My hubby used to smoke a lot and he quit with the help of the patch. He hasn't picked up another cigarette in just about 4 years. It helps with the nicotine, and might be worth considering if you have a really hard time with it."

UniqueMystique said: "Which is greater....your desire to compete....or your desire to splurge?"

UniqueMystique said: "Well...you're not alone. I blew it this weekend too. My husband was away so I treated the kids and myself :o . I also had a party to attend Saturday evening and I drank. I know I've gained a bit....I'm not at all comfortable."

UniqueMystique said: "*Laughing* Who said I didn't feel bad? I feel like I couldn't eat another bite for about 4 days! Eating poorly really makes ya feel like crap when you've been eating healthy stuff for so long."

spectrachic311 said: "Well, it WAS your birthday after all...a little splurging is sometimes worth it. But yeah, overindulging can be make you feel kind of "blah" all over. Just out of curiousity...what kinds of competing are you and your girlfriend into? Like fitness competitions? Or bodybuilding?"

Razor said: "My birthday is Monday. I have a group dinner with all my friends planned for tomorrow evening. Not the orginal place I wanted, but one of my favorites. I started this new plan (shakes and low calorie) thing yesterday. I did great, but then I had a little bit bigger plate of dinner than I had planned along with drinks (wine and beer) Now I have been great on my little plan today. Went to the gym at lunch and power walked 2 miles. Well my girlfriend suggested to take me to the place where I originally wanted to go for a romantic dinner with just her and I. If I do this I know I will eat bread and I know I will drink wine. Should I do it?"

Razor said: "Just so y'all know! My diet went to hell and back on Thursday night. Friday night as well. Actually this whole weekend went to hell in a hand basket. I am back on track today...well not actually but I will try to eat healthy as possible. My girlfriend is quitting smoking tomorrow, and last night we watched Ms. Olympia and we decided to not drink anymore until Puerta Vallerta. For you that may have quit smoking before you know how hard it is to drink and not smoke. So we are putting that down along with the cigarettes. I am still going to do the low calorie thing and see where that leads me."

Razor said: "Oh I quit 5 years ago and never ever touched them again nor will I ever. My girlfriend is the one quitting smoking. We both like to socially drink but of course that means smoking so we are quitting that until she is comfortable with drinking and not having cravings. Unique, I am glad you didn't feel bad. I felt like a tank and still do just a little bit. All the food was delicious though. Last night we came across the Ms. Olympia competition on TV and we both just stared at the screen (we both have the same competiton goals) and then that is when we felt like crap."

Razor said: "Have you ever seen a fitness competition? Are you crazy? =) I can't do all those damn flips and hand springs! We want to compete in lightweight bodybuilding. All natural which means not very big just cut as hell. Ugh it's a pain in my ass! But I guess this whole endeavor is a pain in everyones ass huh? I mean losing weight and everything is a pain in the ass and I did that."
