ive been starting out at the gym so that instead just running as i realise all the extra weight i am carrying could make me very prone to injury ..
for the last two weeks almost i have been doing total of 50 mins cardio
25 mins bike and 25 mins running machiene ,
as i improve in fitness i can increase my intensity and distance in those 50 mins and eventualy work my way up to being able to run a marathon.
im still learning about what is and is not effective .... so anyone that has any tips for me please let me know
ive also been trying to keep my heart rate at around 150 beats a minute .......
is that about right ???????????/ please let me know"

We have a "Relay For Life" thing here. It's more of a 'walk' for cancer. I've never been able to participate in it because it's always held on the day of my daughter's dance recital. We contribute though.....the schools raise money by selling 'links' to make a long chain and we generously donate.
Cancer runs in my husband's family and I've recently had a scare with 'precancerous' cervical cells. Right now...I am fine...time will tell for the future.
I've never been able to run for a long distance...even when I was thin and in decent shape. I can run for a longer period now than I ever could. I'd love to be able to finish a marathon someday...even if I'm in last place. It'd be a great accomplishment for me."
