My weight loss needs come because I had some serious surgeries over the past two years that required me to be on steroids. Phentermine is the only thing I could do to get my system back to normal to override the steroids. Wow, what a strugle it's been."

I'd be afraid that as soon as I went off of it I'd gain all of the weight back.[/QUOTE]
NO you do not have to keep taking it. I have been off it now for about a month. I don't have cravings or anything like that. The side effect for me was that it sped up my matab so much that now I strugle getting up in the mornings to get motivated. But, thankfully, I have two kids to get up and get off to school, and a full time job, so that helps. My diet now consist of no more than 1500 calories a day, no matter what it is. I don't really have ten minutes in day to myself so I don't get to exercise :( That is the key, staying busy and counting your calories. Eat anything you want, but when you hit YOUR calorie mark for the day, THATS IT, stop eating. Good luck, and I hope this helps you. ;)"

I don't trust taking medications. There was a diet drug called Phen-Fen that all the doctors were prescribing about 7 (?) years ago got recalled.
I think I'd rather just stay healthy and avoid having to depend on some medication for something I can treat myself."

The key is to stay with the healthy eating and exercise long after the weight is lost. I know that I cannot get lazy after I get to my goal weight. Eating healthy and exercising is a lifelong process."
