[gr8]-Thoughts on Digital Nutritional Scales?

I usually just use measuring cups for things like milk, cereal, oatmeal, rice, etc. For meat, I use the palm of my hand as a guide (or I buy preportioned pieces). And I generally don't measure out my fruits and veggies...I tend to fill up on those and not refined carbs. I do have a scale though. I use it mainly for weighing things for recipes (some of them call for a certain number of ounces of flour, etc.)."

Now, the digital postal freight scales on the other hand, are incredibly accurate, and expensive. So how important is it to be super accurate?"

With the scale I found that some items I would over count calories, somethings I would under count the amount of calories it contained. Thats not to say that it will keep you from over eating......I can attest to that lol. ("160g"......munch munch munch....."160g"......300cal.......munch munch munch... =) ) but it is a good tool especially for those things that you would otherwise be guessing at. Not that guessing is bad. I did that for 90% of my weightloss, but I like the food scale. More times than not it keeps me from shortchanging myself."
