I heard that eventhough you quit supressants that it stays in your system for a while. I am sure that it will maintain you until you can start something different if that is what your choice is to do. I wish you well unique and that I hope it continues to go well. 2 lbs a week is healthy. It is also possible to lose that weight the same way as well. It is the average most people can lose in a week. It will be slow but maintained and keep going slow until you reach your goal. Sometimes it is not as fast as we would like but it is best to do at a slow maintained pace."

Heather said: "I took ephedra before it was banned. It bummed me out that they stopped selling it. But, life goes on without them. Just keep up the good habits and exercise, and don't worry too much about the rest. It will come into place!"

I'm doing so well and then she tells me that the US has put a ban on bringing appetite suppressants across the Canadian and Mexican borders. She has no idea when the ban will be lifted. I, however, am not happy about it. The US bans are crazy because they aren't banning them for being unsafe....they are banning them because they are losing revenue. The drugs that are available in Mexico and Canada are less expensive than the ones in the US. Right now it's appetite suppressants...next it will be diabetic supplies, heart medications, etc.....some people rely on the lower prices to survive. Without the trade in the border countries.....some people will do without rather than pay the high US prices. I think that's so sad."

UniqueMystique said: "I believe that the Weight Smart has more Chromium and Calcium which aides in weight loss. The Weight Smart has more of the recommended allowence of vitamins than the others out there. It'd be a good one to take if you haven't been taking vitamins at all. I get mine in Mexico because the one that I take isn't available in the US right now...only in Mex, Can, and the UK. I have a one month's supply left and then I'm back to the basics."

I know that I can't go back to eating poorly or not exercising once I get the weight off. That is where so many people make mistakes. I don't care how the weight comes off....you still have to work hard to keep it off afterwards. I'm not worried about losing slower....I know that I will get it all off again eventually. I just lose slowly to begin with. Even with the diet aide I only lost about 2 1/2 pounds per week....which is a pretty healthy rate to lose at."

UniqueMystique said: "I took ThermaSlim about a year after my first daughter was born. It had Ephedra, Ma Huang, and Caffeine.....I only took it for a short period (maybe a week and a half). It gave me too much energy. My house was so danged clean that people couldn't stand it....the major drawback for me was....I didn't sleep at all for a week. That's why I stopped taking it....I had all that energy but was real foggy in the mind with no sleep. That was the first diet aide I'd ever tried, besides SlimFast and I couldn't gag that stuff down (2 days max). I tried Xenical and that stuff is so gross...that was another one that lasted about a week. I tried Phentermine and it left me tired and hungry so I was switched to the Anfepramona and it worked. I stopped craving bad things. My appetite was lessened...and I wasn't tired. These are the only things I've ever tried....and the last one is the only one I ever managed to stick with for any length of time. Everything that I have tried, save the SlimFast was while under a physicians care. And I'm not promoting pill taking....just sharing my experiences. :)"

Qian said: "I have tried: Metabolife Xenadrine Xenadrine NRG Xenadrine RA Trim Spa Hydoxycut Chitosan PhenPhen Alot of these were taken when I was really into weight lifting, and was trying to have high energy for my workouts. Of all of them I thought the Xenadrine (Any of the 3) worked the best. And like UM, the doctor knew I was taking these. I cycled on them, and was very careful with using them. The weight didn't drop any quicker while taking the pills as when I was not taking the pills. I will say though, if you drink caffeine, or have taken the pills for any amount of time, the effect is barely anything. I never expereienced withdrawl when I stopped taking the pills. I felt more withdrawl when I stop drinking diet cola. Again, i am not promoting taking pills, just sharing my experiences with them."
