(Part of the reason for alternating days of strength training...to let the muscles heal). Protein also fills me up quicker and for a longer period of time than other foods. I tend to eat my protein first during meals...then my veggies....then whatever else there is left, if I'm still hungry. I typically have a hard time finishing my veggies if I eat the protein first. I just feel better eating this way....if I eat higher carb stuff....I have energy for a short period but am dragging by the days end. I don't when I eat a higher protein diet. Hope I helped a bit. :)[/QUOTE] I agree......."

Qian said: "Protein converts to energy a lot slower than carbs do, so when you eat protein, your body needs to resort to different sources for energy, i.e. fat stores. I also agree with UM, when I eat protein (mainly red meat) I am full much quicker than with veggies, or white meats. Don't know why though. Any thoughts."
