When i started my new healthy eating plan i lost 7 pounds in the first week, 2nd week i lost 1, 3rd week i put on 3 pounds, 4th week i lost despite being really good-exercising and keeping food diaries etc etc etc. I started to feel a bit despondent 2 weeks ago and took the advice to measure myself and log it to watch my progress and WOW is all i can say!!! In 2 weeks, i have lost 15.5 inches of body fat, yet the scales say that since i started i have only lost 6 lbs. So, it just goes to show that scales are NOT the most reliable way of monitoring your progress, as muscle is heavier than fat-so that can show up as a weight gain and can make you feel despondent. I have dropped nearly 2 sizes and am in need of some new clothes!!! I would really recomend you all to do this if you are not doing it already as it has made me feel fab and is far more reliable than the scales. I would not have fully realised how well i was doing if i had just been weighing myself!!"
