Counting calories, carbs and fats works

shrkntz said: "I have lost 5 pounds and 6 inches in 2 weeks. I count all of my calories and make sure that I don't go over 1600 calories and I have found that my energy levels are higher. I was stuck on a plateau for 4 months. I also go to the gym for an hour a day and I change around my workout. I have cut out all junkfood, switched from crystal light to water now and I am able to enjoy water. It is possible to lose weight at a quicker rate as long as you watch what you eat, excercise 6 days a week and let yourself relax for one day. I find clothes are starting to feel loser and I feel happier. I have been off my depression medication for almost 3 months and I find my gym instructors unbelievable motivators by being so welcome and open to any questions I have for them. It pays off to have a good support system that knows what they are talking about. It does not pay off to not eat anything over 1000 calories and to cut everything out of your diet. By eating moderately instead of a full plate, I feel just as satisfied as eating 2 helpings. I feel so happy today. The scale clunked on my usual setting at the gym. It is boarderline 249 and 250. I am so happy. On february 13th I was 260 lbs. :O)"
