Resting

The gym I go to has a combined cardio and strength training.I rest one day out of the week and just walk the dog. It helps your muscles rest and gives you less of a chance of pulling a muscle like I did when I went hard core last year to the gym. Consistantly doing anything causes habit and is good for you. Even when you have one day of rest, your body still burns the calories as it would that one day. I lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks doing this. Change it around too so your body does not get used to the rest day or the workout days. Lots of people seem to think that if you go all hard and workout and not eat a lot that it will work. You have to bump up your calories to change your metabolism when you start working out way more. You don't want your body to go into starvation mode. It is best to just watch what you eat on the day of rest too, don't go all out and gorge, the next day you will fell so sleepy and tired during the workout."
