i plan to lose 45lbs by 8/26/05 thats my daughters birthday
i started a diet with the grapefruit diet pills(it really works)
it consisted of:
breakfast-2 slices of bacon, 1 egg or a bagel with light cream cheese
orange juice and half a grapefruit
lunch- a sandwich(turkey meat or any white meat), water or anything light as long as you involve a vegetable and water
dinner- vegetables and meat small portions, water
snack- fat free yogurt
you must take 2 grapefruit diet pills a day with some type of excercise or activity.it promise you to lose 20 lbs in 15 days. you make think t is just a gimmick but it works.i remember going to the clinic and my weight was 215 and a week later while doing this diet i went back and my weight was 212 i felt it my whole attitude was much better.but i felloff track and now 2months later i am going to try it again.
so any one interested in this just let me know.
oh and the pills are a good deal just 6or 7 dollars at the most at your local drugstore.
GOOD LUCK :p"

There are no quick schemes to lose weight because there is always a drawback. Some pills cause kidney, heart, bowel problems. I advocate healthy balanced eating, constant excercise, one day of rest and saying no to cheetos. It is better to lose weight over a longer period so that your mind and body can adjust to the changes. If you lose way too quick, the risk of gaining it right back will be quick. Quick changes are not always best changes."

They contain a grapefruit extract, which will curb your sweet tooth as well. But, mostly I found that you do not need those pills. Just drink a glass or two of water a half hour before each meal and that way by time you eat you will start feeling that you are full. Also take time while you are eating. It takes you brain a certain amount of time to send signals that you are full. So what I do is take a bite put my fork down and chew all my food well and sallow and so on. I do not go back for seconds either. I was a big pop junkie as well and that is all I ever drinked. I would drink a 2liter of Dr. Pepper a day. NO Water or anything else. I have put a stop to that and I already feel better and within no time I will start dropping pounds from that. You need to drink 8-8oz glasses a water a day as well (thats what I heard).
I am also trying to lose weight by Aug.26th, since my 30th B-Day is on Aug.27th and I need to lose about30-50 lbs. I am at 180 now and would like to be 130-140. Ideally though I do not need to lose that much since I am tall. I wish you all luck in your weight loss.

It is best to lose weight gradually and at a maintained pace. It allows for your body and your mind to adjust to the weight loss and there is less chance of going back to square one. Sometimes it is better to eat the fruit than take a pill in exchange. Your body benifits from food. To maintain weight loss it is best to eat about 1200-1500 a day in calories. I know that you want to lose it right away, but like I said, it is best to do a maintained weightloss rather than a quick approach. If it is working for you, all the best to you."

Some of those supplements are not very reliable. The FDA does not have to approve them, so there could literally be anything in them. You don't want to risk another ephedra incident or something. I think just eating more fruits and vegetables is going to help you feel fuller and eat less. Good luck on your weight loss...just be safe doing it! :)"
