Here's the problem I have with doing things like this...you'll do fine drinking your little concoction every day because you don't have to actually eat anything. But it's not teaching you how to eat. Once you stop your fast, how are you going to go about eating properly so you DON'T gain the weight back?
Seriously, my mom did a plan where she could only drink special meal replacing milkshakes for a couple of months and she did lose weight. But once she stopped doing it, she gained all the weight back and thensome.
Have you thought at all about a sensible way of eating for the rest of your life? Not just 20 days or however long this thing is?"

GIBBOLTD...i am not trying to be mean but this is not healthy...and when u go off it you are just going to gain it back and yo yo, thats not healthy...you need to learn how to eat right for life so you can always control your weight and be healthy
men need at least 1600cals and women need at least 1200cals and if u exercise you'll need more.....it might seem to work but its not healthy
we are all here to help and want you to succeed"

You are losing mostly water from your body and you may risk your healthy by doing more than the amount of time you have already been on it. Your body can become dehydrated and you will get sick if you continue. You will lose some weight but I bet most of it will be water and muscle which in turn is going to make you feel weaker in the coming days if you don't feel that way yet. Then you risk being in the hospital and guess what they will pump fluids back in to you and you will gain back the pounds you lost., Better to learn to eat healthy and lose weight the right way by eating foods that are good for you and exercising each day. You will lose at a slower rate which in the long run is going to be healthier for you and you will find it easier to keep off. I wish you well but hope you will reconsider what you are attempting to do to your health and well being."

Sorry, like naynay, I hate to sound harsh, but I find this kind of disturbing and worrisome. It makes it worse knowing that you know what you are doing is dangerous and not going to work in the long run."
missred said: "That's great!!!! I was really concerned about the detox thing. I hope you keep a journal still! We would love for you to keep us posted!"

Celeb's are not the best people to fallow an example of when it comes to weight loss. Often times the diets and excersize they fallow are dangerous. If you really want to try a liquid diet I would recamend talking to a doctor about one that is taliored to your specific needs."

lakelady said: "Smart move!!! It may take you a bit longer to lose the weight, but it won't be such a godawful daily struggle to keep it off!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!"
DrCOOL959 said: "Wow, that sounds like a rough diet. :o
Probably a high amount of muscle will be lost along with some fat. Which will be really bad if you gain the weight back because you will have replaced some lean tissue with fat actually setting you farther behind than when you started =(

Best wishes! :)"

Have a great day Gibboltd!"

GIBBOLTD said: "Hi everyone, I'm trying a new "Celeb" diet out.
I'll do my best to keep you all posted about my results.:th_dblthumb2:
I've been on this diet for 6 days now, so far I've lost 5 Pounds!!
So, the daily diet is:
Maple syrup
Cayenne pepper
Lemon Juice
Water
1+ Hour workout
200 abdominal crunches
30 minute power walk/run
Weight Lifting
15+ minute bike riding
Seriously, that's all I have in my day. It's like a detox.
All I do is mix the ingredients in a glass and drink it 3-4 times a day, I also drink water by itself (4+ glasses a day).
So far I feel good, I am missing solid food.. but I'm not giving up!
I must admit, I feel really good, my skin is looking radiant and I feel more happy than my usal self.
I don't get hungry that much anymore, I'm gonna try and do this for 20 days.., I hope I can stick it out.
I'll keep you all posted!"
GIBBOLTD said: "Yeah, I know that this isn't a healthy diet.
It's only for 20 days, well.. at this rate it will be more like 14.
It's not a permanent thing, I just want to see how much weight I can actually lose doing this.
You could say it's just an experiment, after I've finished I'll slowly introduce my body back to normal food and try too mantain what I've lost."
GIBBOLTD said: "Day 7 THE END!
Yep, that's right. I've decided to finish this detox early, I feel great and I thought I best stop while I'm in good health and feeling good.
It's time I went back on my healthy diet and lost weight the normal and healthy way.
You guys give such amazing advice, I'm so glad that I chose this site to register with. Thanks! x
Total weight loss: 7pounds:wave:"
