feeling like a failure..

Tinkerbell said: "I've been sooo off track lately! Not only have i NOT lost any weight in the last 3 weeks....i actually gained 3 lbs...which actually isn't a lot, but it's enough to make me feel like crap. Well now I'm back on track again, but it's so hard. You work so hard, lose some weight, and then you get out of control for a few days and its all back so fast. that seems to be my pattern. :("

We are not perfect it's ok to mess up sometimes, the important thing is that your getting back on track. I would love to weigh 150. Hang in there and don't beat yourself up."

Use a tape measure 2 times a month and ignore the scale for a while. I know you can do it. I know the feeling of frustration with weight loss, you just keep trucking and not let it get you down. You might like www.fitday.com that way you can keep track of the food you eat. Give yourself one day that you can be flexible on calories. One day of rest. You fell of the wagon, get back up on it and just stay on again. If you keep kicking yourself about one day, it will sabatoge the rest of what you have done, want to do, and are willing to do. Trust me on this, do not give up, there are lots of us that have a rough day, just leave it be the past and go on with the present."

Best to stay on a consistant plan and maintain an average 1500 or so calories a day. It all depends on your weight, age, height and metabolism. Maintenance is the key."

You will start losing weight again, just dont give up. Use this as something to make you work even harder."

You won't be backsliding, but you will be giving yourself a little bit of a break. I took a few weeks "off" from losing weight when I was starting up a new semester at school. Too many pizza parties to go to, etc. :) You can do it!! :)"
