Eating and exercise???

I wait until I'm really hungry before I eat breakfast and I always plan what I'm going to eat so I don't overdo it. There's no real rule as to when you have to eat...as long as you eat fewer calories than you expend, you'll lose weight."

I am not hungry but it made me thik, when are you supposed to eat when you are exercising? I have heard an hour before you exercise or an hour after, I have heard 30 minutes after, and I have heard right after exercise becasue your metabolism is faster? So what do you guys do?"

Don't let your sense of accomplishment over the exercise lead you to over eat!!! That's a big stumbling block for lots of people...the I-deserve-this-for-working-so-hard attitude."

Usually I will eat a vitamin/nutrition bar (but low in calories, they are called LUNA bars and specially designed for active women) at 4:00pm this gives me enough energy to get through my work-out and not be STARVING at the end of it. Then I have time to properly prepare my home-cooked dinner without munching on 1/2 the kitchen beforehand. Before I started eating the bars everyday I would snack while cooking dinner, thus eating myself full of snacks and not nutritous dinner foods. :) you'll find what works for you."
