Food CravingsFood Cravings
shrkntz said: "Cravings for food is just the need for wanting the feeling that you get from eating the food. Starches, fried, sweet they are all guilty of being a craving food. It is anything that you are constantly thinking about that makes you want it. Chocolate. If you eat a piece, you can understand feelings that come from eating it. It is because your brain thinks it needs the chocolate in order to satisfy how you feel. Craving foods can be used when your nervous, when you are sad, mad, glad, worried, bored. To avoid searching for a craving, your mind has to be calm. You need to find something that is pleasing to do not eat a chocolate bar or a big bowl of salty buttered popcorn. Meditation, relaxation, excercise, reading a good book, playing a computer game, playing with your kids, your pets, these all help to avoid the fridge raid. If you can take 10 minutes out of a day to relax, you won't crave a lot of foods. Drinking a glass of water well before you have a meal will lessen your chance of overeating. You have to trick your mind into thinking that you don't crave anything. Keeping the junk out of the home is also good too, less opportunity to crave what is not available to gorge out on. White sugar is the worst, it causes your brain to go on over load. It is one of the most biggest problems for a lot of people because you are made to think it is okay to have since childhood. You throw a temper tantrum as a child and your mother gives you a cookie. There, made you feel better for the time being. But in about an hour, you'll be asleep. Sugar is a quick energy that lasts for a little amount of the day. Your brain will start to get tired and so will your body. The less sugar you have, the more you won't think about it. It will become natural for you to look the other way when you think you might want 'Just a little bit'
I got this from Dr.Abravanel's book

I am reading it right now and experimented on it. It is so true. I think he may have some valid points. I love this book."
