Don't Give Up!

shrkntz said: "I have not used a scale in about 4 months. My gym instuctor told me that if I am curious on the loss, just write down what they write then make sure that I hold the tape measure not firm but just so, if it is too tight, you will get a improper reading. Measure also in the beginning of the day. Don't measure during your female time or after you eat. I have done a lot of reading about plateau's and I myself am finally off it by a pound. I so understand frustration when you are working very hard at it. Its been 4 days without bread and a month with crystal light and iced water no juice, sugar drinks. I had one large coffee and threw it out after drinking less than 1/4. I don't crave any pop anymore. I posted about how to measure yourself because it is easy to get down and out by weighting yourself. It only shows the total weight, not the breakdown of where you are actually losing. I have lost a lot of inches, but the scale only moved 5 pounds. I am glad to hear the successes and trials of others, it makes me put it in a easier perspective."

I've dropped 4 more total inches in the last three weeks! Everyone should not get obsessed with the scales. The tape measure is your best friend when you are trying to trim up. I know I'm gaining a lot of muscle from working out....it's obvious when I look at my calves and thighs and ribcage! Those areas look awesome! It won't take long for the rest of my body to follow their lead! Keep exercising and eating healthily!!!!"

UniqueMystique said: "Sassy, thanks for the kind words and the birthday wishes! We can all do this if we focus on what's important. Ourselves!"

Qian said: "Belts are always good too. I've lost only 2 lbs the last 3 weeks but my belt has tightened up 3 holes (in that same period). It's nice to feel the clothes getting looser, and belts getting tighter."

It wasn't until I joined Fetherish that the scale is not your friend but the tape mesure is! Thank you again for also reminding me to be patient. Oh also, Happy belated Birthday :)"
