I'm HUNGRY!I'm HUNGRY!

If you're hungry, by all means EAT!"

If I were you, i would pack a snack that seems sinful but isn't. One of my favorite things right now is to use some brownberry 100% whole wheatlite bread1T peanut butter and a couple of thin apple slices and cinnamon as a sandwich. The whole thing has about 180-200 calories and is yummy and filling. I like fruit as a snack but sometimes it is boring or just not what i want. Jello has new puddings out, too that are sugar free and 60 calories a pop so you could have a pudding as a snack. So my point is...... you should snack if you need to. You are skinny nbow, girl, and you need snacks to function!"

I usually don't eat a complete breakfast anymore unless I am truly hungry at the time, and then I save something and take it to work and eat it when the hunger does strike and this has really worked for me. You might want to just try bringing a piece of fruit or a few crackers or something that you could have to munch on between meals when the hunger strikes. I think it just means your metabolism is working and really you should feed your body when it is hungry and not feed it when it is not. And sometimes I will just drink a diet soda and it will tie me over to the next meal."

That way I eat when I start to feel the hunger and it really does help. Usually lunch I have to eat from 12-1 so I will eat most of it and save something for the afternoon slump about 3, it works best for me to eat every 3 or 4 hours to keep from getting hungry even if it is only a 100 calories or so. And then too it could be the time change that has you out of whack with hunger at the wrong times."

lakelady said: "I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else, but if it has, tell me why, and how to get over it please. I'm below goal now and have been for a couple of months or so, so I'm not too worried yet, but....I had what's a pretty usual breakfast for me, a bowl of thick-oat oatmeal with a pat of smart-balance, and two turkey breakfast sausages, a substantial breakfast for anyone! That was under two hours ago and I'm ravenous! We had stuffed salmon for supper last night (btw, for those of you who like salmon, for some reason it's REALLY cheap right now!), and I had a couple of helpings, and I wasn't particularly hungry when I had breakfast. I just had it because it's a bad meal to skip! Now I'm STARVING, I'm ready to eat the lunch I brought and it's only a quarter 'til nine! So, WHAT"S GOING ON? Oh, btw, I've had plenty of water, have a bottle sitting right here, as a matter of fact, so THAT'S not it."
lakelady said: "Thanks Klynn, I'm gonna try that tomorrow. maybe eating when you're not really hungry is a bad idea, even if it IS breakfast. All I know is that I HATE this!"
lakelady said: "YUM 'brew, That sounds delicious!, but we all KNOW how I am about peanut butter! No, I was just mystified as to WHY this happened to me today. It never has before and I couldn't see where I'd done anything differently. I thought about the time change, but the time changes twice a year, EVERY year, and it had never happened before. I think the mystery may be solved though. After I ate my lunch early, I felt a bit queasy, so I took some antacids, THEN I threw up! I've felt a little under the weather all day. Maybe those weren't hunger pangs, naybe they were gastro-enteral distress and MAYBE that salmon we had last night was so low priced for a REASON!"

(edit) I pretty much confimed Klyn's post!"
