My neck and should have been giving me a fit, so my doctor put me back on anti inflammatory medicine and muscle relaxers. I seem to be retaining water from them. Then got hit from behind by another car going home last week and it sent me into another major flare up in my shoulder. He then put me on steroids, and I lost like 3 pounds in 2 days of fluid. Now I finished with steroids and the water weight is coming back, does anyone have any great ideas for diruetics other than more water? I hate to have to go back to the doctor before my next appointment in 2 weeks. Thanks for your help."

I really didn't want to hear it might be a couple more weeks for it to go away because I have been on such a roller coaster with weight the last month or so and most of it I feel is water. I just have decided not to weigh until after my doctor visit in 2 weeks, hopefully it will be gone by then. Thanks for your imput!!"

I used to have super bad water retention in my legs particularily. Some days they would be so swollen I could push down over my shin bone & not feel it!! Pushing down like that would leave HUGE indents in my shine too.. it was sick..
Since you are getting this from medication I don't have much advice.. Mine was caused from eating to much salty stuff.. So I cut that out and drank more water. Made mine dissapear..
I hope it goes away for you!"

But Klynn, those steroids take a couple of weeks or so AFTER you stop taking them, for the fluid retention side-effcts to completely go away. Sorry, I know that isn't what you want to hear. I am SO sorry you're hurt! FEEL BETTER!"
