Jaundice

GreenEyes said: "My son had jaundice. I did have to go in and get his blood tested but by the second week he was fine. I will say a blessing for your little one and hope for a speedy recovery. Try not to worry about it, just enjoy this special time in his life."

The nurse said dont worry it happens a lot and he will prob be fine. I am not worried about it now but if the levels havent gone down by thursday then i will worrie."

In the old days they used to just put the jaundiced babies by a sunny window, until they figured out which wavelength of light it was that affected the biliruben. Kirsty and lillieannen BOTH had phototherapy, although back then it was done for a couple of days in the hospital."
