Recall of Mushrooms

Heather said: "Looks like it. The 'shrooms came from BJ's wholesale club. Affected are: Wellsley Farms fresh sliced mushrooms, 20 oz. [SKU 016377]; Wellsley Farms fresh white mushrooms, 24 oz. [SKU 016375]; Wellsley Farms fresh portabella caps, 16 oz. [SKU 016573]; Wellsley Farms fresh baby bella caps, 10 oz. [SKU 016572]; and Wellsley Farms fresh white mushrooms, 10 oz. [SKU 016376]. BJ's officials said any customers seeking more information can call 1-800-BJS-CLUB. Thanks for the info and the link!"

It means too many things are not being inspected properly and the food is already passed on and people are getting sick from it. I think somehow there needs to be better quality control, but with so many different foods to inspect I can see where some slip by from time to time. It really makes one want to grow their own produce. It is strange how it is produce lately, spinach, lettuce, mushrooms, cantaloupe, and who knows what else. Is there really anything as safe food anymore?"
