I have cut my meals down and I have cut out pop and juice and switched to crystal light and water. Atleast 2 of the 571ml bottles a day.I also do a cardio/weight workout for 1 hour a week. I bike everywhere I go and I bike to the gym. My weight will not budge. I am frustrated. The gym said I lost fat content.
I was 46.3 body fat on feb.23 2005 at 254 lbs ...
right now i am 38.55. body fat at 254 lbs
I think I have reached a plateau. How do I get out of it? What am I doing wrong?I am very frustrated. I also find since I have gone from 3 days a week in february to 6 days plus one day at home of workout that I am way more hungry. I don't eat any more than 1500 calories a day.
I need some tips so I can stick to this stricter regiman than I am getting used to.Does anyone else have a plateau they cannot get out of right now? How can I trick my body into more weight loss. I am really dissapointed at my month weigh in at the gym too. I worked my butt off hard for a month and this is what came up with. I feel like I am getting no where.

When you've plataued she said that your body thinks it's starving and it's hanging onto everything. Don't faint now...but she suggested taking a day and treating yourself to things you've been denying yourself....kind of a 'binge' day. This tricks your body into thinking it's not in starvation mode and will back off of holding onto the fat stores. I do it when I get stuck...and it works."

Qian said: "First off, congrats on all the improvement. The workout regimen your doing is going to make you gain a lot of muscle, which even though you lose inches, you'll weigh the same because muscle is more dense than fat.
You should be able to up your calories about 500 a day and still not gain weight. Do this for about a week and keep working out, then drop the calories back down. That might trigger your body to start using it's fat stores for energy. You don't want to drop the calories much more or your body will go into starvation mode and will want to hold onto everything you put in it. Other than this the only thing that you can do is wait it out, and the lbs will start to drop again. Don't worry though, you are doing awesome.
Another thing you might try is raising the protein and dropping the carbs for a couple days and see if that will trigger anything. Hope this helps."
