When I moved here, the Fruit 2 O was nearly entirely cut out of my diet, as were many sodas. When I DO drink soda, it's usually a regular soda. Over the past few weeks, I've had some of these diet drinks, and WOW. Not only do they taste nasty to me, but every one of them has upset my stomach. I knew this was a semi-common effect with aspartame, but I'd never heard anyone say splenda upset their stomachs. Well, it definitely is mine.
As fattening as sugar is, it definitely doesn't upset my stomach (within reason, of course. If I eat 5 donuts or drink 10 cokes, I'm sure I'd be making friends with the porcelain god). Anyway, I think that after these past couple of experiences, I'm definitely going to stick with regular sugar, even if it means limiting my sweets intake more."
