shrkntz said: "It confused me. The girl there one minute, sinks."

Strugglin' Sarah said: "I just went and saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants last night....I read all the books too! THe movie was decent .... my fav characted in the book was Bee, and in the movie it was Lena. Most likely from the acting. Definitely a chick flick! Umm, Shark Tale's really funny ... Just saw The Grudge ... scary for me but horrible plot I subscribe to Netflix so I'm watching usually 3 movies a week ....I'll keep you updated on what I watch."

Heather said: "SpongeBob was cute. :) I have to vote for "Dodgeball" and "Napoleon Dynamite" for being pretty good (fairly recent) releases, too. All 3 of them made me laugh!"

Heather said: "I watched it on DVD last night. Always good to "have skills" :)"

Heather said: "I also like the movie "Hero". It is poetic. I was surprised because I didn't really care much for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" I never got through it and had to pay a late fee on it "

Heather said: "I bought the "House of Flying Daggers" What a great movie! Have you caught it yet, Qian?"

Heather said: "I liked the Movie "Robots" Big Weld had it coming."

Heather said: "
My fiance` and I took my little cousins to see Robots when it first came out and they loved it and I have to say we did too!. And Big Weld did have it coming!
I think I will always love cartoon movies.. Finding Nemo was another good one. Even SpongeBob Squarepants was amusing! Double Bubble Blowing babies! LOL"

Heather said: "I guess there is still some inner child left in me. I have never watched Spongebob, but we decided to check it out one afternoon. Star Wars III was a long movie, I would give it a C+.."

Heather said: "The sharks musta got her! LOL. Couple more good ones.. old, but funny.. Cabin Boy and Clerks. It's hard to decide which was funnier."

Heather said: "It's time to play hockey! LOL."

Heather said: "I caught "wedding crashers" last night. It was pretty darn funny (although a little crass in some parts) Not something for the kids. Chris Walken makes for a good "weird" dad!"

Heather said: "I haven't caught the movie yet, but Johnny Depp looks a lot like Michael Jackson in the promotions.. Might have to line it up for this weekend."

Heather said: ""Click" wasn't a bad movie at all. We just rented the movie "Born into Brothels". It was about children that were born into brothels in Calcutta, India. It was very uplifting story with delightful kids that seemed to have knowledge behind their years. These kids had very little opportunity in the world that they lived in, and most of the girls were destined to "be in the line" as a prostitute. Zana Briski changes their world with the power of photography. She teaches 7 children to take pictures and capture their world in images. Their pictures were beautiful! They captured the joys, the light, the shadows and the sorrow of everyday life. You can see their pictures at Kids With Cameras The one thing that touched me most is that the kids were joyful. Despite having little money and a bleak future they were happy. I won't say how it ended.. pick it up if you haven't watched it already.."

Heather said: "I watched "The Last Samarai" on DVD the other night. What an excellent movie! Tom Cruise plays a really good part, and the story is poignant. A little long, but well worth it.."

Heather said: "The 40 year old virgin was a RIOT! I haven't laughed like that in a while. I'll be adding that to our DVD collection when it's released."

Heather said: "We caught this movie recently, I thought it was just OK.. Anyone else see it?"

Heather said: "We went and saw "Munich" over the weekend.. It wasn't what I would call the "feel good movie of the year" but it had a good story line.."

Heather said: "Yes, Qian it was. It was a long one.. over 2 hours.. It was an interesting story.. If you are in the mood for something not so cheery (not for kids) I'd recommend it.."

Heather said: "The movie DOOGAL was pretty good. It had a nice little storyline..you left smiling :)"

Heather said: "The ad for it on Yahoo gave me the willies.. (Vendetta) Looked like some sort of possessed clown or something."

Heather said: "I haven't saw that one yet.. We bought the movie "Rat Race" on DVD.. it has an all star lineup that looks pretty good. I'll let you guys know if we like it.."

Heather said: "Lately I've been catching up on Season 3 of the Sopranos.. ..that menas I'm still a couple seasons behind.. LOL."

Heather said: "I think that we're going to watch a movie tonight. I just picked up "Wall Street" and "Memoirs of a Geisha".. We have to be in the mood to read subtitles for Memoirs.. :)"

Heather said: "I don't care for creepy and gory movies much.. We went and saw Munich (a while ago) and I had to turn my head during the "violent" parts. I don't like getting creeped out."

Heather said: "Here are a few I've caught on video that were pretty good. Irish Jam. This is sort of an off beat comedy that I liked a lot. Enron, The Smartest Guys in the Room. A must see! These guys and their traders were horrible. They had big egos, though.. and now we know how it turned out. Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. It was a good story with a few shortcomings (like she doesn't get a second opinion about her terminal condition) but makes you think a little.."

Heather said: "Gotta love rebellion! We picked up the first season of "Mind of Mencia" and got a few chuckles. I couldn't imagine coming from a family that had 18 kids. That's a lot of time being pregnant!"

Heather said: ""Click" was a great movie. I think some critics panned it, but it was some food for thought. It's a typical Adam Sandler movie.. Unique.. I thought Nacho Libre was a good movie.. maybe you should give it another try when it comes out on video. I thought it was cute, but I can see how being the second movie might have made you want to head home. The next movie I'd like to see is "You, Me and Dupree" with Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson. I don't think there's even one movie with Owen in it that I don't like.. I think it opens tomorrow.."

Heather said: "We just watched "Flags of Our Fathers" and agree that it was a great movie. No one wanted to be the hero. That's probably common for anyone that's been involved in war and has seen so many other friends and soldiers die on the battlefield. We just watched "School for Scoundrels" on video.. that movie is a riot if you're a fan of Billy Bob Thornton. That dude cracks me up every time.."

Heather said: "DBrew... I saw that movie a while back.. it's a real eye opening about global warming. Hopefully Al Gore isn't right about some of the things he said. It made me feel sort of sad after it ended. Have you had a chance to see it yet?"

spunkymonkey said: "
Napoleon Dynamite was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing when I watched that. The Dance scene was great. I like watching Pumping Iron. That movie really makes me want to workout. Rocky is definetly another one though.
napleon dynamite was so funny (i have a middle school picture where i am wearing my pony tail on the side like deb) i also know a person who is just like napoleon my friend and i both laughed through the entire movie."

spunkymonkey said: "some movies i saw recently cold mountain the last sameri dogma and a cinderella story"

spunkymonkey said: "
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Fabulous movie! Johnny Depp does a magnificent job as Willie Wonka! I think it's as good or even better than the original.
brought my 8 year old niece to see it last night i also thought it was better than the original."

Cupcake said: "I love Finding Nemo. :p Ellen Degeneres cracks me up."

Cupcake said: "Yeah, Dumb and Dumber is one of my favorites. I love the part where he's standing at the bar "putting out the vibe" :D"

Darren said: ""Meet the Parents", "Meet the Fokkers" and "DodgeBall" are some of my favorites."

Darren said: "After 1.5 hours Star Wars was so boring I was ready to jump out of the chair."

Darren said: "Madagascar was hilarious. And Wedding Crashers had me rolling in the aisle."

Darren said: "Yes, I saw 40 Year Old virgin this weekend as well... 2 thumbs up."

helplesscase said: "
Since this is the water cooler i thought we could talk about some fun movies we've seen. I just got done watching Sponge Bob Square Pants the movie with my son. Very funny. Great for people with kids. My son didn't move throught the entire movie.
Haha, I saw that too...You gotta love spongebob!"

helplesscase said: "
I can't wait until "War of the Worlds" comes out. I think it is in May. It looks really exciting. I don't even need my Red Vines if I have Tom Cruise!
Me either! I really want to see it."

cvalh said: "Interesting side note about Napoleon Dynamite... Apparently the movie is about Mormons. I have a friend who is doing his grad school thesis on Mormons -- apparently you wouldn't catch this about the movie unless you are one or are deeply familiar with them, but it's a complete sub-plot."

UniqueMystique said: "I saw Fat Albert recently. Talk about a trip back in time. I thought it was a fun movie. Also saw Miss Congeniality 2 this past weekend. It's ok but definitely not as funny as the first one. Lot's of hitting and punching."

UniqueMystique said: "I'm sure it burns a few...but even if it doesn't...it makes ya feel great and alive! :D"

UniqueMystique said: "I loved Shrek! Love the adult humor in some of these children's movies....especially cuz I'm laughing and the kids are looking at me as if I've lost my mind. :D"

UniqueMystique said: "I saw "Ice Princess" with my girls last night. It's a good 'you can do anything if you set your mind to it' movie. Great movie for young girls."

UniqueMystique said: "*Has the distinct feeling that's she's missing something here*"

UniqueMystique said: "I saw National Treasure when it came out. It was pretty good! We had to see it because my husband is a Mason and he was curious about all the symbols in the movie."

UniqueMystique said: "I saw Herbie, Fully Loaded and Bewitched during my vacation. Herbie was hilarious......I was hurting from laughing so hard. Bewitched fell short with me......wasn't that great."

UniqueMystique said: "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Fabulous movie! Johnny Depp does a magnificent job as Willie Wonka! I think it's as good or even better than the original."

UniqueMystique said: "Ha! That's funny....my friend said that he looked like Michael Jackson when he first came on the screen, too!"

UniqueMystique said: "I saw "The Bad News Bears" yesterday. It was alright....not as good as the original though."

UniqueMystique said: "
I hate that the new Bad News Bears movie is PG13. My two girls were really wanting to see it.
It wasn't too terribly bad. A few curse words here and there....but not the really bad ones (S & D). A few 'birdies' thrown around. And some cursing in Spanish. I took my kids to see it and my oldest (10) just rolled her eyes during those parts...and she had no clue about the Spanish parts. In fact....I'd have to say that it's much tamer than the original. Herbie was a riot.....I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time!"

UniqueMystique said: "We saw "Hoodwinked" last weekend. It was ok for a kids movie...but it sure lacked the usual adult humor."

UniqueMystique said: "We saw "The Shaggy Dog" this weekend. It was a fun movie. I'm sure that there will be a sequel...it was left wide open for "The Shaggy D.A." :) I'm hoping to catch "Failure To Launch" soon....it looks like it will be hilarious."

UniqueMystique said: "I saw "Stick It" about a month ago. I was a tad disappointed with it. Since the person who wrote "Bring It On" wrote this movie I figured it would show a bit more detail about the competitive world of gymnastics....like "Bring It On" did with cheerleading. I was hoping to take the girls and that they'd gain some inspiration from it but they didn't. It was more about "rebellion" than gymnastics."

UniqueMystique said: "Well....we went to a new drive-in movie theater last night (something to get me out of the house while I'm sick) and saw a double feature....Cars/Nacho Libre. Cars was a cute and fun show....it was fun trying to figure out the voices and who they belonged to. We left about 30 minutes into Nach Libre....my oldest fell asleep, my youngest was hiding her eyes, I started feeling sick....so we just came home."

UniqueMystique said: "We were lazy today. Watched 4 movies. Barnyard, John Tucker Must Die, Failure To Launch, and The Longest Yard. I liked all of them....I guess my least favorite was Barnyard. The kids enjoyed the "lazy" day since we're usually running here and there and everywhere."

Leah20 said: "Hotel Rwanda was a really good movie. Very sad but well done."

Leah20 said: "I liked that movie quite a bit. If you got it on dvd and watched the special features you'd see that it was EXTREMELY low budget and made by just a husband and wife in their spare time. Gotta give em some credit."

Leah20 said: "I saw Sin City last night. It was surprisingly good. It did have lots of violence and gore, but the way it was done like comic book style was really cool. From what i've heard, you'll either really like it or really hate it."

spectrachic311 said: "I thought "Napoleon Dynamite" was hilarious. Pretty much the best movie I've ever seen ;) (like anyone could even know that!) My favorite person on there is Kip, especially after he's going out with La Fawnduh...super funny movie. And bonus, no swearing or nudity or sex or violence. :D"

spectrachic311 said: "Oh man, Blue Collar TV is hilarious. My fiance and I watch that sometimes and just about die laughing. I didn't know they had a movie of it though. We might have to see that one."

spectrachic311 said: "We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...it was terrific! I thought it was MUCH better than the original. It followed the book more closely, I think. And the kid who played Charlie was a lot cuter in this one. Also, Johnny Depp was fantastic as Willy Wonka. Those teeth were crazy! I think the old movie left out the part about his dad being a dentist, lol. I want to see March of the Penguins, even though it's a documentary. It looks cute :) And I really want to see Wedding Crashers too. I love Owen Wilson...he's so dumb he's funny ;)"

spectrachic311 said: "We recently went to see "Date Movie"...we were the only ones in the whole theater and we soon found out why. Save your $8 and rent it if you REALLLY want to see it. It was pretty stupid. :)"

Razor said: "I saw this last weekend and words can not even describe it. You have to see it yourself. I see a bunch of awards coming for this film. I also saw Hostel and beg of you not to see it. I hated it!"

Razor said: "There is some confusion with this Hostel movie. I guess QT just wanted his name on it. He actually did not do it. Everywhere it says "presented" by Quentin. The guy who directed Cabin Fever directed this one as well. The storyline sucked and just tried to freak everyone out with as much gore as possible!"

nattie said: "Well I have seen a couple lately. "Man of the House", Tommy Lee Jone's new movie, very funny. "The Pacifier" Is really cute, Vin Diesel oh so hot. "Hostage", Bruce Willis's new movie, very good "Taxi" is hilarious (sp?) "The Incredibles" I loved it "Shall We Dance" was ok "The Exorcist the Beginning" was good "The Notebook" I have only seen part of this movie but what I have seen is GREAT, very much a chick flick. That is all I can think of right now."

nattie said: "I loved "Meet the Parents". When he was talking about milking the cat was so funny."

Holly said: "I saw the Ring 2 last week. I liked it a lot, although the first one was a little bit better."

Holly said: "I saw G.I. Jane on the AMC channel last night. It is one of those movies that makes me want to exercise. (Rocky is good for that too.)"

Holly said: "I can't wait until "War of the Worlds" comes out. I think it is in May. It looks really exciting. I don't even need my Red Vines if I have Tom Cruise!"

Holly said: "Did anybody watch the Yellowstone, Super Volcano movie/documentary last night on the Discovery channel? If you like natural disaster/documentary type movies (although, the actors weren't that great) you might want to catch a rerun. I may have found it more interesting since Yellowstone Park is my honeymoon destination. :)"

Holly said: "I saw the Amityville movie last Thursday with my girlfriends...I thought it was fun. I love getting a little creeped out at the theater"

Holly said: "I watched quite a few movies over the weekend. The second Bridget Jones Diary was a really good one. I love that character. I think all of you (at least the ladies, anyway) would find it really funny. Ladder 49 - hot guys, OK story line. Taxi - hilarious. I love both Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah. The Blue Collar Comedy Tour - have tissues on hand, they are all hilarious!!!"

Holly said: ""I don't care who you are, that's funny!""

Holly said: "I saw Anacondas over the weekend. The writing is horrible, but it's a good eye candy movie. Just watch is for fun, don't expect a lot out of it. :)"

Holly said: "My fiance and I rented National Treasure and I fell asleep. That's not saying anything bad about the movie, though, I tend to fall asleep a lot. :) The most recent movie we rented was actually Ron White's hour long solo stand up rountine. He's the guy from the Blue Collar Comedy tour...the one who didn't want to be drunk in PUB-LIC, he wanted to be drunk in the BAR! :) I've never fallen asleep when he is on!"

Holly said: "Rarely do I really dislike a movie, but Open Water was AWFUL. If I want to be let down by a crap ending, I'll watch the news. Troy, however,.....LOVED IT! ;)"

Holly said: "I think any who's worked in retail will love Clerks! I saw Racing Strips Saturday night and really enjoyed it. It was funny and cute...the little ones liked it too."

Holly said: "I'm still looking forward to it! Too bad I was wrong and it doesn't come out until later in June. I'll try to be patient. :)"

Holly said: "Chronicles of Narnia was an awesome movie!!! My husband and I went to it without the little ones, though. I don't think my step daughter would have held her composure during the seen where as she would say, "they killed the kitty". But, it was wonderful. I hear the sequel will be out in 2007. It makes me want to re-read the books. I would like to go see Walk The Line this weekend. I'm a big Joaquin Pheonix fan. :D"

Qian said: "Since this is the water cooler i thought we could talk about some fun movies we've seen. I just got done watching Sponge Bob Square Pants the movie with my son. Very funny. Great for people with kids. My son didn't move throught the entire movie."

Qian said: "Watched "Ray" and "The Forgotten" Ray is very interesting. A great story, and good music. The Forgotten, an okay storyline, but very predictable. Fun to watch though."

Qian said: "Napoleon Dynamite was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing when I watched that. The Dance scene was great. I like watching Pumping Iron. That movie really makes me want to workout. Rocky is definetly another one though."

Qian said: "Yeah. . .not so much, I am, and that movie is not. It was made by a guy who goes to BYU (and is Mormon), but the movie has nothing to do with Mormons or the beliefs."

Qian said: "Vote for Pedro! :D"

Qian said: "i saw previews of it, but wasn't able to watch it. Speaking of volcanos though, I saw Dante's Peak a few weeks ago and that is a very cool movie."

Qian said: "I watched the Legend of Bagger Vance. Pretty good movie if you like golf. If not, you probably wouldn't enjoy it at all."

Qian said: "I loved both of those movies. I love any Chinese Kung Fu movie though."

Qian said: "git 'r done!"

Qian said: "I belieeeeeeeve, you need to have a liscense to wear a thong! I believe Angelina Jolie thinks about me, as much as I think about her"

Qian said: "haven't seen house of flying daggers yet but it is on my list."

Qian said: "I watched Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. It's a throwback movie. Very fun to watch. Also saw National Treasure. Very cool movie, we had to buy the DVD."

Qian said: "Wow, this thread is still around! I saw Star Wars 3 over my vacation. I liked it and my son loved it. He loves Yoda. Why wasn't R2D2 as cool in the other movies?"

Qian said: "Movies i have recently seen (on video) Brothers Grimm - Okay, if you like the fairy tail typ movies Robots - very funny great for kids and adults The Island - great sci-fi thriller. Underworld - very cool fantasy vampire werewolf But my favorite is still Napoleon Dynamite :D"

Qian said: "Watched Be Cool, it's okay, funny to see some of the characters that were created by the actors. My kids love Madagascar also, they love the lemurs"

Qian said: "Is that the one about the 72 olympics? It looks interesting."

Qian said: "Alright saw 2 movies this weekend, normally wouldn't watch these, but the wife wanted to see them, so I agreed. First was "In Good Company" Funny movie about life changing experiences. Second was "Under the Tuscan Sun" I actuall enjoyed this more than the first. Same concept of undergoing life altering experiences, but really funny situations and great characters."

Qian said: "OH, and Snap Pea, I finally saw House of Flying Daggers. Awesome cinematography. very cool movie. Beautifully shot, and a fairly interesting storyline."

whateverhobb said: "I too really liked Napoleon Dynamite. It was an awesome movie. I am a total comedy movie lover. "I guess I'll bake her a cake or sumthine." Dumb and Dumber also very very funny. <---I like the goofy humor. The part where they try on the suits cracked me up, and the part with the snowball. I seen The NOtebook, and I was crying like a little baby.....So sweet, yet sad. I hate crying to movies!!!"

whateverhobb said: "Sat me and my husband watched Final Cut with Robin Williams, I thought it was awful I didn't even finish watching it. And we also saw The Forgotten, it was alright. The best movie this weekend that we saw was Oceans 12. That was pretty good, and for the ladies there are lots of hunks. ;)"

Sassysurfnic said: "I had to watch that movie twice. The first time my fiance` and I were looking at one another like "that was stupid" but then the second time we saw it we were dying through the whole thing. Also, my fiance's brother can get his hair into a "fro" like Nepolian's and he inpersonates him so well that we end up crying when we laugh at him doing it! I wonder how many calories uncontrolable laughter burns...."

Sassysurfnic said: "My favorite movie is Lilo & Stitch. I love Stitch. It was such a cute movie."

Sassysurfnic said: "My fiance` and I took my little cousins to see Robots when it first came out and they loved it and I have to say we did too!. And Big Weld did have it coming!"

Ms.Brender said: "I love the Blue Collar guys! Of course, I'm from GA and now live in TX. Down here they're this side of sainthood! Git 'r done! I also love the Bridget Jones movies. I feel in love with Colin Firth in "Pride & Prejudice" and haven't missed one of his movies since then! :D"

Ms.Brender said: "
Oh man, Blue Collar TV is hilarious. My fiance and I watch that sometimes and just about die laughing. I didn't know they had a movie of it though. We might have to see that one.
They actually have two videos out! The latest is Blue Collar Rides again! I just saw "Laws of Attractions" yesterday with Pierce Brosnan (too handsome!). It was really good. Great chick flick! Anybody seen "Monster in Law"? It looks hilarious."

Ms.Brender said: "SpongeBob is tooo fun! If anyone hasn't caught him, do yourself a favor and check it out. You don't have to have kids to laugh your butt off! (AHHH! If only I could laugh my butt off! Oh, well!"

Ms.Brender said: "My oldest daughter and I have gone to a couple of movies lately. Herbie was great! :D She loved it too (she's 10). This week we finally saw Bewitched. It was pretty good. I wasn't dissappointed, but I didn't walk out going "Wow! That was great!". I hate that the new Bad News Bears movie is PG13. My two girls were really wanting to see it."

luckyducky101 said: "I saw a few: I wanna see sisterhood of the traveling pants...I read the books... I saw Star wars(3 hrs is so long in a dark theter) Napolean Dynamite(so stupid its hilarious)But my lips hurt real bad...lol! And I saw Guess Who(kinda racial but very hilarious eomantic comedy) :)"

Billabong7329 said: "hmm, has anyone ever seen dark city? its pretty awesome. Its about a world where every night these people kind of freeze time and switch everything around. And one man finds out about it and well yeah. Read a review online somewhere about it its awesome, and the best part is its only about 6 bucks at best buy if you can find it. Not a kid movie, while I don't remember any certain really bad parts, but its a dark movie. Also, if you like the matrix, try out equilibrium, another great cheap movie."

Billabong7329 said: "Man, I really need to post here more often, I always forget about this topic. I constantly buy movies, that and comic books (and my g/f =) ) are my passions! Heres my collection, I also have quite a "want list" haha. http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=billabong7329 Anyways, I just watched Walk the Line. Man, I thought it was awesome. First off, I'm a country music fan, so I really wanted to see this but never got around to it in theaters. My mom's boss let her borrow it so we watched it last night and I was really surprised at how awesome it was. I've found myself sitting at the computer listening to Johnny Cash over and over again. Also, Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon actually sang in the movie!! That shocked me. Also, I am a huge cartoon fan and I recently bought Batman: The animated series Vol 2-4, Superman: The animated series Vol 1-2, and Batman Beyond Vol 1. Woot, early child hood nostalgia, also my kids will have plenty of cartoons to watch when they are growing up. ( I don't have any kids =P, just saying for when I DO have kids, haha)"

want2losew8 said: "i just went to the drive in over the weekend with my kids and some friends. we saw Fantastic 4 and Bewitched. I loved both of them. :D"

Scarlett said: "I watched the movie The Jacket today. It was so good!!! I'd give it an 9/10. I was interested the whole time, and the end was a little bit uplifting.."

Scarlett said: "I saw the movie the Brothers Grimm recently I absolutely loved it! It reminded me of when I was little, I used to always be into tales of knights and towers with beautiful maidens in them...or an evil queen ;)"

Scarlett said: "
We caught this movie recently, I thought it was just OK.. Anyone else see it?
Oh yeah I saw the Chronicals of Narnia...I thought it was really really good! It was A LOT like the book. They even paid attention to the small details...such as that the witch was extreemily tall. I definately thought it was better than ok :p And Razor, I am interested in seeing Brokeback mountain but I think I'll wait til it comes out on video... I'm with you about Hostel, I have no interest in seeing it. I heard it was a lot like Saw, but it's a Quenton Terrintino film, so what could we have expected? You know? (Not saying that he hasn't made good films, b/c his movies are usually pretty good, but I know how he is about that gore stuff, and that man is really into graphic depictions of violence, so I figured a horror movie by him would be super graphic...and I'm just not down for that.)"

Scarlett said: "
crikey it been ages since i last went to the pictures although my kids hooked on madegascar at the moment esp sean who loves the hippo and milly kisses the screen when the zebra comes on it sooooooooooo sweet to watch
Oh Oh I saw that movie last night! It was TOTALLY adorable!"

Scarlett said: "I want to see that movie V is for Vendetta. The most recent movie I watched was Donnie Darko...and lemme tell you that movie was really bizarre, but VERY good. I'm actually going to watch it again b/c it's one of those that once you know what happens in the end and you watch it again you'll get more out of it the second time."

Scarlett said: "
I haven't saw that one yet.. We bought the movie "Rat Race" on DVD.. it has an all star lineup that looks pretty good. I'll let you guys know if we like it..
That movie seriously cracked me up!"

Scarlett said: "The last movies I watched were: In Her Shoes (and it was OK, and simply OK, not that great, not that bad, and not that entertaining either...) And The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and can I just say WOW!! That movie was really really good, and it definatley kept me livid on the edge of my seat!"

Scarlett said: "I saw Memoirs of a Geisha last night, that movie was VERY good!! What a crazy life those people lived, I'll tell ya what! Tonight I'm going to rent some movies, a couple on my list are Brokeback Mountain (I'm curious to see what all the fuss is about!!) and then maybe King Kong or The Weatherman, I haven't decided which I want more..."

Scarlett said: "Kemb, it was kind of weird that they cast Chinese actresses for the Japenese Geishas, but it still was a pretty good movie!! I bought the Skeleton Key a while back, I loved that movie, it was kind of freaky, but I didn't think it was THAT bad! Last night I watched the movie Must Love Dogs...it was OK, but a little boring in parts and I thought it was kind of long and dragged towards the end. I also rented the Corpse Bride and Broke Back Mountain ... I will watch them tonight and post later about them. I haven't really been interested in seeing Broke Back Mountain, but I rented it b/c I'm curious to see what the fuss is about...but lemme tell you if there'd have been no fuss about this flick I wouldn't have rented it, the previews just kind of looked boring to me and didn't spark much interest...plus I'm not that into cowboys...but since they are gay cowboys it might be interesting!"

Scarlett said: "I don't know, I thought the Corpse Bride was totally weird hahaha!! It was ok, all and all, but I didn't like their singing, and at first the way the people on that movie looked tripped me out!! I didn't really like Broke Back Mountain, all and all it was really really REALLY long, and pretty boring, although during the boring parts they'd show the beautiful mountains so at least you had something to look at. During the whole tjhing I kept wondering where the heck it was going, aside from the two dudes relationship becoming more and more involved, I also kept wondering when the heck it was going to end! I dunno, I'd give that movie a 4 out of 10 rating all and all..."

I even posted once for the movie with katie holmes (which is in archive now) called pieces of april. it's fun! blt"

ExManiac said: "I thought Brokeback Mountain was good. I saw V for Vendetta and... eh. As my friend put it, some of the ideas in the movie were very poignant in today's political climate, but the gore was a little excessive. And it's not even that it bothered me... it just ceased to be interesting at a certain point, and it was like, get on with the story already. Then again, I fell asleep during the movie. Twice. So maybe my opinion doesn't count. > Some people up front started throwing popcorn at some of my friends because they wouldn't shut up... Or so I heard. Again, I can't be sure. I slept through that bit."

SordidLove said: "Oh god I agree. I laughed sooo hard during that movie. Steve Carrell is such a hoot. He has great small roles in stuff like Anchorman and it was great to see him as the star! I will be buying it too!"

DBrew said: "I thought the Illusionist was awesome. The cinamatography was greas as well as story line, and costumes. I would probably buy this movie."

DBrew said: "I have not seen the movie Ryan WHite. I have, however seen Monster and due to influence from the movie, I do not feel the lady should have been executed. Was she in real life? I do not know if I believe in the death penalty at all. It does not do any good."

DBrew said: "I also liked that the ending was unexpected. It surprised me, and normally I can figure out an ending before it happens."

DBrew said: "Has anyone seen Al Gore's new movie? I have heard great buzz about it. I hope many watch and decide to change the way we treat the planet!"

DBrew said: "Heather, I still have not seen it. I am very interested in what I can do to help the environment and I think that it would really motivate me even further. Thing is, I think everyone needs to do something. It is a big and quickly growing problem. As soon as it is an "old rental" at the video store, I will rent it. I am a cheepo with movies. There are so many old ones to see that I can wait for the new ones to retire."

fitwitch said: "Hostel is a QT movie? Did anyone get buried alive? He seems to be a big fan of that.... Ugh. I don't particularly care for him or his style... though I did like Kill Bill 1 and 2."

fitwitch said: "Memoirs of a Geisha is in subtitles? Hmmm... well... I want to see it anyway... I read the book a couple years ago and absolutely loved it. Glad they came out with a movie. Let me know how it is. We went and saw Ice Age 2 on Saturday... OMG, (and I do love animated films hehehe) it was better than the first one! Great humor.... more of that beloved little Scrat and his acorn. It was really good. For those that have kids here I would highly recommend it! Edited to add: We also just saw the 4th Harry Potter movie and I liked that one too. I love the Harry Potter movies, but haven't gotten into the books yet. Another movie we saw was Lord of War with Nic Cage. It was a good movie. Disturbing, but good."

The plot is satisfying, it has humor, it has twists, it has a GOOD HAPPY ENDING THAT MAKES YOU FEEL EVERYTHING IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD. That and I absolutely loved the intro song they featured. It had such a great energy I went out and got the soundtrack after we saw it. Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, that...guy from Serenity and Love Actually whose British and can't remember his name.....Jodie Foster...and of course the ever cool Willem Defoe (spectrachic he's from Appleton Wisconsin did you know?) Anywho, I could keep going on and on about that movie like the portagee I can be sometimes but I won't. Just go see it I highly doubt you'll be slightly disappointed. Oh though on a side note I saw a trailer for the 9/11 movie that's coming out...I'm pleading the 5th on commenting there but thought I'd give a heads up to anyone that the trailer is out in circulation now."

Not only do the Japanese and Chinese have a violatile history, but what are you saying about Japanese actresses? Are there none good enough? Or are Americans just being racist and saying all asians are the same? ICK! (I do admit the movie was well made and entertaining tho) ______ Anyhoo, I can't believe you thought V was gory! Lol! I'm usually very conservative on gore, (I don't even watch horror movies) and am usually squeamish and close my eyes in bloody parts....but V didn't bother me at all! How funny. Maybe I was so wrapped up in the political commentary I ignored it!"

I usually don't like action and over the top action so much, but the story was interesting and I ended up being entertained through the whole thing. It could also have been titled 'The Little Russian Boy that Nothing Good Happens to For a Long Time'. That's what I would have named it for sure."

This movie has stirred up some controversy but I suggest that everyone see it and make their own opinion on it instead of bashing the movie without even seeing it. (I know a lot of right wing Christian folks who wont watch it) Anyways it’s a great movie!"

*Xena* said: "
"Click" was a great movie. I think some critics panned it, but it was some food for thought. It's a typical Adam Sandler movie.. QUOTE] I think from the previews and watching Adam on the GMA it's about what is important to you .. Money or family I think that is a great message for everyone to spend time with family and friends because you just never know when they will be gone . And I like what Adam said to charlie Gibson .. When your old and in your death bed don't you want your family and friends around you ? That is so true because no corporate company will be there that's for sure !"

Edward Norton was the main star in it, Jessica Biel was in it, as well as another guy who I could not spell his name, but he was in Sideways. It was kind of dark, but not scary. More mystical than anything. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes mystical, dark movies. Great story line. Smarchee"

smarchee said: "I have seen 3 great movies recently, recommend them all: 1) Sophie Scholl - The Final Days Unfortunatly, a German movie, so sub-titles. Great and tragic story of Sophie Scholl and her brother and a couple of others involved in the White Rose resistance movement in Nazi Germany. These people risked their lives to accelerate the downfall of the Nazis and tried to speak truth to the Nazi propaganda. True Heros (yes, I am a WW2 geek) 2) Flags of Our Father Holy crap, this movie was awesome, extremely well done, told the story of the 3 survivors of the picture that was taken of them raising the flag on Iwo Jima. Never really knew they had such a challenging time when they were back in America, used for American propoganda for the war effort, personal struggles etc. 3) Jesus Camp wow, I was at some time amused, but mostly horrified. I found these kids brainwashed, and see some of them becoming militant in about 10-15 years, whether in attacking abortion clinic workers, or in some sort of future holy war. Some parts were very disturbing. All 3 worthy of your time Smarchee "
