Week 8 Challenge Check-InWeek 8 Challenge Check-In
Heather said: "I'm still in on this challenge. I didn't lose any inches when I measured last Saturday, but you'll have that.
I've been feeling a bit under the weather myself, but have done well exercising and eating.
Keep up the good work, everyone!"

I didn't make it to post...too busy with my dad, but here I am now. I finally weighed myself.....161. It's a small drop from where I have maintained for soooo long. The best thing this week has happened though...I have been driving my dad to and from wherever he has to go, so I have been interacting with lots of people and WOW the comments are spectacular. It makes me feel good to see so many people take notice. A couple-friend of ours we haven't seen in about a year ran into me this week and did not even recognize me. That was awesome to hear. I notice as the compliments roll in and I accept them (which used to be hard, but now I can say thank you with a smile) my self-esteem builds. I have alot further to go....tons of toning needed....but I really feel confident that this time around there will be no looking back. I've stayed on the path to a healthier, better looking me that it's now truly been a lifestyle change. Good luck to the rest of you in your continued successes. Can't wait to see the numbers dropping as we all continue this challenge. Have a fantastic weekend!

In fact, I haven't visited Featherish at all this past week, so the changes were a shock to me! IU'll have to get used to it. I'm one of those people who are bothered by the smallest changes, ect. There is no such thing as even rearranging the pictures on the mantel at my house! :)
Anyway, I started back to school this week, and I can tell it is going to be a very hectic semester. I brought my own lunch and found two friends to stay on site with me who are also trying to eat healthier. So we're going to leave everyone else to their McD's and Taco Bell while we stay in and enjoy healthier choices.
So, I have eaten pretty well this week, but not enough exercise. So, that has to hcange next week!!! I'm sitting at 159, which isn't terrible. I really wanted to actually lose some weight. I think my goal starting the challenge was 10 pounds. I'm just not making a big enough effort...
Hope everyone else is staying warm and doing well!!!!"

Well I am STILL SICK after 2.5 weeks, however I am finally starting to feel better. My fever finally broke a few days ago and I am starting to feel my energy coem back. Once I get my breath back (acute bronchitis) I am going to get back into my cardio and free weights.
I have also been getting my appetite back and the last couple days I have been having cravings that are nagging me. I will need to kick my willpower up a notch and feed those craving with exercise.
As of today I am at 290 pounds. I have lost 27 pounds in 6 weeks (i joined the challenge late)
I feel good!
Jason"
