New Challenge....me against the lbs....lol.

Whether or not more comes off, time will tell. I was sluggish on exercise in 2006 but now, I'm getting back into the swing of things and joined a fitness club. I been relying on how my clothes fit rather than what the scale this past year but I suppose unless I start aiming for a lower number, I'll get too comfortable where I'm at and stay there."

Through my friends and family and the people here at freatherish's motivation and my hard work I managed to get down to 164lbs at the beginning of the summer. I will say though I barely ate...and worked out like a crazy lady training for my first marathon to get there. Since then I have had a few life changes-- lost my grandfather who passed away, got a new not as healthy boyfriend (who since dating me has lost 16 lbs for himself woo hoo!) and have been swamped by work and coaching and not able to run as many miles outside....I'm stuck on the treadmill. Since summer my weight has crept back up to 168. I'm not freaking out or anything because I did indulge a lil over Christmas and New Years--but its game time again. I will get down to 150 if its the last thing I do....and I will wear a size 6 jeans ( right now I'm a 9). I am currently training for my next marathon The Athens Marathon in Ohio in April. Hopefully I can get down to 150 by summer. Thanks for any advice you might have or encouraging words!!!! Matilda 04"

**Shorti** said: "Resist the doughnuts!! I've had chocolate covered cookies hanging around my office for over a week. I have been doing really good avoiding them...most of the time. I hide them inside the receptionists desk so I am not tempted to eat them if they are laying around on the counter begging me to..."

You know exactly what you need to do and likely what you shouldnt do again this time around. You lost almost 80 pounds last year. You now want to loose almost 20. Granted these will be the slowest to come off, but they dont stand a chance with the discipline of those 80 under your belt. I feel sorry for those poor 20 pounds. They won't know what hit them! Since then I've been working, not logging in the miles as much and feel the weight creep back..I want to fight back against that! I ran in San Diego last June and later this yr I hope to run New York.... Right now I'm at about 144 and I want to get my ass back down to my goal weight, 129. It's 15 lbs, and I need inspiration!! I think always putting yournself up to new challenges will always keep you motivated! :) Good luck and keep me posted on the running! "
