cvalh said: "On-line. I don't think i'd be able to do regular meetings."
cvalh said: "It's not actually that much per month. That's for the first month, or the first 3 months... Per month afterwards, it's like $17
I signed up... at least for three months."

I also liked that it lets you account for exercise...you can earn "activity points" to add to your day's total. I didn't pay for it though...my parents had the materials and they gave me a copy of the book and the calculator and all that stuff. I didn't go to the meetings, but that didn't really hinder me at all. I had a scale that I weighed myself on, so I didn't have to weigh in front of everyone."

She did the online program, they gave her so many points per day & each food has points and you add that up using the computer. She loved it, and I think that she might still be on their maintain program. She wanted me to join but the monthly fee at the time was just too much. I think it was around $45-50 per month, might be $40?
I just checked the site, it's $46.90 per month or $65 for three months.
The program looks really easy, and I know it worked really well for her!
Good luck!"

I will say going to the meetings did help because I did not want to pay my money each week if I wasn't going to give it my all, it is a fairly easy program to learn, and it is based on the rule no food is bad and not allowed, everything in moderation. You get to pick and choose your foods and what you eat when so it is flexable. If you are looking for a structured food meal plan that tells you what to eat and how much, it is best to follow the daily menu plan suggestions they will give you, otherwise it is up to you to pick your menu for the day. I still follow the plan except I more count the portions instead of the points, that was the first system I learned and I liked it better. Best of luck and I think having something you spend money on will help keep you committed."

I liked the support, but I had to travel to another town for meetings, and with my school schedule it wasn't convenient. You can do it online... A friend lost 80 pounds on ww and has kept it off for almost a year now. Pretty impressive."

Anyway, hope it works well... people, I know, say that the WW programme really works....
Are you excited? I always get excited when I do something new!"

One of my friends was on WW. As you probably know it works on points. She LOVED the meetings, as she believed that they offered social support and she learnt techniques not to binge eat. In total she lost 30 kg. She also learnt how to maintain the weight. She had a great leader - who was really supportive.
The cost is probably different here in Australia to America....$17.50 per class. I THINK I have read on this forum that the price is lower than that in America.
They gave her a points finder in week 5 so that she could work out the number of points in all types of foods. She had to know the calories and saturated fat per serve.
Well that's all I know ... good luck with your decision.... let us know what you decide to do
Have a great day
Cheers
