How sick is too sick? How sick is too sick?
cvalh said: "Actually, I ran on Wednesday and felt ok. It was 85 here (in NOVEMBER???) so I didn't have any cold air making my throat or lungs hurt. Basically, I feel better today too - I even have a voice again :p There's essentially nothing left in my lungs now, it's back to being a head cold. So basically, I successfully ran the whole time I was sick, and while it might not be advisable for most people, I'm fairly glad I did."
cvalh said: "Well, I don't know if running yesterday made me sicker or if I would have gotten sicker anyway, but overnight and this morning I was coughing up a lung and wishing my throat would stop hurting. Over the day, I do a lot of talking at school, and I'm weird because talking has always HELPED clear me up. So, I'm better tonight, but we'll see about tomorrow. I definitely still feel it in my lungs. (The worst is when I have to burp :p That really makes me cough)"
cvalh said: "Hmmm... Well, the congestion is definitely in my lungs, but at the same time, I didn't have that much trouble today. Granted, I ran slowly, but it felt "ok." (I would have felt perfectly fine, but my throat started hurting)."
cvalh said: "How do you guys decide when you're "too sick" to work out? I mean, obviously if you've got a "little cold," you'll be fine, and if you're puking or passing out, you won't be fine... But what about when you're in that grey area?
I'm gonna try it today (since I have to go NOW, before it gets dark), and kind of make that my basis for the rest of this week... But I'm just curious how you all decide."

Just be sure to drink plenty of water and monitor how you're feeling. Stop if you feel too faint or you start coughing a lot. Good luck...hope you feel better soon."
