"Couch to 5K" Question

cvalh said: "This is the link I have: http://www.coolrunning.com/index.shtml So I did day 2 today. At first I wasn't sure I was gonna make it out, because I was in a bad mood and it was rainy, but ultimately I decided that with my history, if I didn't go today, I wouldn't go again. So I did, and it really did seem easier than on Monday."

cvalh said: "So I started today (beautiful day for it - sunny, breezy, 70 degrees)... I'm just curious how you all felt after your first day? In some ways it felt easy, but at the same time, in some ways I don't see how I can possibly be ready to increase the workout next week! :p There are my split personalities for you!"

I found that if I kept convincing myself "Only 1/8 mile more and I can quit", I'd do the extra 1/8 mile. Eventually, you'll be running a lot longer and you won't feel like you're going to die."

I do dread the workouts sometimes because I am really busy and it's getting cold. But I just chalk all that up to excuses and try to push forward! It gets easier when you start seeing results! (Which I am.) I don't get out of breath quite as easier and the other day my husband said that my legs and butt were getting really firm! YAY! :D"
