I think though that sometimes people may be so desperate to lose weight that they dont care that its unhealthy. They just want the quick fix. Those advertisers know that and prey on people."

Megan said: "It sounds awful. Kinda like torture. There is no point to it b/c its not REAL weight loss."
Megan said: "That is what one of these advertisements say. How is that even possible let alone healthy?!"
spectrachic311 said: "Well, it's TECHNICALLY possible. I saw this stuff at Walgreen's once called "the 48 hour Hollywood diet". It caught my eye because it was a bottle of juice. I picked it up and read the label...you were supposed to consume nothing but this juice for two days straight and you could lose 10 lbs in 2 days. I looked at the ingredients: caffeine, panabrom (diuretics), senna extract (laxative), various fruit juice concentrates, and some herbal stuff to raise your metabolism or whatever. So basically all the weight you'd lose on that would be water weight, food weight (since you're not eating), and fecal matter. So it's not "real" weight loss and as soon as you eat, you'll gain it back.
So yeah, I guess it could be possible to lose that much "weight", but it's really more of a clever marketing trick and it's of course NOT healthy!"

You wouldnt be loosing fat you will be just loosing water and a little lean body mass."
Diamond said: "I remember some stuff called Body Solutions that Howard Stern advertised. That was some crap. You were supposed to take (ick) a couple spoonfuls before you went to bed and the weight was supposed to melt fat off over night.
It didn't work, cost a lot of money and tasted horrible. I don't think they sell it anymore, either."

Its very much like the maple syrup/lemon/cayenne liquid fast Beyonce did for a film she did where she lost 20lbs in 2 weeks."
