What Motivates You?What Motivates You?

I want to be able to be comfortable at the beach and not have others stare at disgust. My husband, my kids and my dad are a great inspiration for me. I don't have to worry about sabatogers, everyone around me knows what I feel about junkfood and about fats and carbs. I let them know if I don't want something, I let them know that when I visit, could they please not have chips out. My new dog,4 year old miniature american eskimo, which I have had for 2 months, is a great initiator. He stares at me non stop come 8pm and we go for a brisk walk. I don't care about info mertials, magazines, bill boards, pills, diet fads. I am on one plan and its my own, I stick to my own plans easier. I keep a diary of what I have accomplished daily in the excercise aspect. I write a note to myself about not giving up. I am my own motivator. I don't take well to others telling me the 'have to's' the people around me is what i mean I just do what I think will work and just let the rest follow."

Being married to someone that doesn't pay attention to you doesn't help that either. :P"

I don't feel old at all, I've been exercising, and now I just want to cut the weight to look and feel good. My goals are boring as I get older."

My grandma, grandpa, 2 aunts, one uncle and my mom (all her family basically) have had gallbladder problems due to unhealthy diets. My other grandpa had 4 heart attacks, mini strokes, and type 2 diabetes. Every woman in my family is pretty overweight to obese. So I'm just trying to better my odds. Also, the confidence factor of looking good in clothes is a pretty good motivator :)"

For me it is a few things. One is television shows like The Biggest Loser.
Another is movies with Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwartzenegger, i.e. Rocky, Conan. (I don't know why, they just do) Third are infomercials, for some reason I like watching them and see if I can learn any new ideas for excercising, and try them out. I don't however buy what they sell. Fourth is health magazines. I can read my Flex or Muscle and Fitness everyday for a month and get motivated for working out.
I mainly ask to get some other ideas and thoughts."
