seems like something you'd want to make with some skinless, boneless chicken tenderloins or breasts. maybe i'll give it a try with that substitution.."

Yum said: "Beef is not scoring high in the good for you department. FYI, hotdogs are made from (possibly madcow infected!) cow's spinal tissue! Seriously! I love turkey burritos. I think the recipe goes a little like this..
1 pound ground turkey
2 cans (14 oz total) tomato sauce
1 can of corn (the tall can)
1/2 diced onion
Louisiana Hot Sauce or Tabasco Sauce to taste
Tortillas
Low fat Sour Cream
1 can vegetarian refried beans
Brown ground turkey on medium high heat
Add tomato sauce and hot sauce
Let cook for about 5 mins, watching and stirring!
Add corn and onion
Turn to med-low and let cook until liquid reduces
Warm refried beans in seperate pan. You can warm tortillas if you like.
To eat:
Spread refried beans and sour cream on a tortilla. Fill with turkey mixture.
Mmm!"

Heather said: "The skin makes a lot of difference in the fat content.
I'll have to give it a go with the boneless skinless chicken, too.
I could always use a new recipe for chicken!
I have found a good marinade by A1, it has 2 carbs per serving. Chicago Steakhouse. It gives a nice flavor to everyday chickenbird."
Heather said: "Do you have a Foreman grill?
It is a great tool to have in the kitchen! Cooks stuff up quick and drains extra fat, too."
Heather said: "Here is one I had last night for dinner. It is sort of a twist on the old style corndogs I love, minus a lot of extra fat (skip the deep fryer) and carbs.
I went to a low carb food store and bought some Applegate Chicken Hot Dogs.
They have 1 carb, 5 G fat, 120 calories per dog. (Uncured, No Nitrates, No preservatives) also picked up some whole wheat tortillas with 3 carbs, 2 G fat, and 50 calories each.
I cooked up the hot dogs in a pan with a little bit of butter and warmed up the tortillas in the microwave. Then I wrapped the dogs in a tortilla with a little bit
of shredded cheese and dipped in mustard.
Very yummy! Even kids wouldn't protest this one :)"
Leah20 said: "Try making quesadillas. Just take two whole wheat tortillas, put boneless skinless chicken breast, tomatoes, skimmed mozzarella cheese in the middle and bake at 350 for 10 minutes, turning halfway through. Dip in fat free sour cream (this stuff is awesome)
Pita Pizza's are also great. Just put your regular pizza ingredients (with light cheese of course) on a whole wheat pita instead of a crust."
Razor said: "Those sound great, but I am unsure how they are low fat?"
Razor said: "Yep skinless breast is the for sure way to go.
4oz of skin on wings : 17g fat (4g saturated)
4oz Skinless breast: 4g fat (1.5 saturated)"

Please if you know of some other recipes feel free to share. :)
Low Fat Hot Wings
Serves 4 generously for about 250 calories each
Ingredients
2 Dozen Chicken Wings
3-6 Tablespoons Chili Powder Depending on How Hot You Like it
½ Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
¼ Cup of Catsup & ½ Cup Steak Sauce
Salt & Pepper to Taste
½ Cup of Orange Juice
¼ Bottle of Hot Sauce or Picante’ Sauce (More/Less to Taste)
¼ Cup Brown Sugar
½ Cup of Lite Creamy Ranch Dressing
Combine chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper & brown sugar. Stir in steak sauce, catsup, picante & orange juice. Mix well, till smooth.
Marinate wings in sauce for about one hour. Arrange wings in a foil-lined pan; cover with marinate sauce. Bake in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for approximately twenty minutes, or in thy trusty microwave on high for about 6 minutes – till juices run clear. Serve with ranch dressing & a large keg of water.
I made this last night. It was easy and tasty. I didn't use the Ranch Dressing and cut even more calories from it. (I really don't like dressing with my hot wings anyway.) My son even ate 3 of them, and he usually doesn't like hot wings at all."
Qian said: "Sorry about that, i probably should have called it low-cal hot wings :p
Any way, if you have any other recipes please post them. I'm always on the lookout for quick easy recipes. I'm not the greatest cook and my wife works at night so i'm cooking dinner fo r me and the kids, so quicker and easier the better."
Qian said: "That is one thing i'm working on doing, but with warmer weather arriving, i'll probably be going out on my grill and cooking"
Qian said: "Sounds good, any others? Keep them coming :)"
