Don't Quit Poem

Heather said: "Thanks for sharing that poem with us. It's so very true that you can't just give up, that isn't what life is about."

Heather said: "
Thanks Megan. I need to copy this off and give it to my son. He is going into the drug treatment the first of next week and I am praying for hope for him to get through and to come out with a new direction for his life. I plan on sharing this with him and maybe giving him some inspiration.
I've been meaning to ask how Justin is doing, for some reason I thought he was already in treatment.."

Heather said: "I will be sure to do that, Klynn. Is he going to be far from home?"

I figured I'd share it here....it's pretty darn good. DON'T QUIT When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low, and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Life is strange with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out, Don't give up though the pace seems slow, You may succeed with another blow. Success is falure turned inside out, The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, And you can never tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far, So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things seem worst That you must not quit. "

I know personally how drug addiction not only affects the user but the entire family. My sister is an addict and was just sentenced to 2 and 1/2 years in prison with a year of rehab afterwards. She has 4 children and the father is currently in a rehab program. I know the struggles and the worries. I pray that you stay strong and keep believing. I pray that your son finds the courage and determination to get through this. God Bless."

klynnfosh said: "Heather, he was supposed to be in treatment, but the facility did not have space available to begin with, and then with people of vacation he has had to wait for counselors to get back to work, and now finally after 6 weeks he is to go in on the 19th. Thanks for asking and I will let you all know please keep him in your prayers."

klynnfosh said: "Thanks Megan! He goes in on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and he will be across town about 10 miles or so. I will get to talk with him on the phone and I am not sure about visits at this point. Right now he has a very positive attitude and I am hoping and praying this will be a life changing event for him. I really appreciate the support and prayers as the past 6 weeks has been really rough on me. Thanks again."
