Inner Thigh Anxiety!!Inner Thigh Anxiety!!

If you do, try this: tie one end of the band around your foot and hold the other end at waist level. Now put your arm out and lift your foot a little off the ground. Keep your hand still and pull your leg in and in front of the other foot. You should feel your inner thigh working if you're doing it right. Repeat it for 8-10 reps and then switch feet. Do 2-3 sets per side and you'll start seeing a difference in a couple of weeks."

Plus, to make it more difficult all you have to do is wrap the band around your hand once or twice (with dumbbells you have to buy multiple weights). The other nice thing is that with resistance bands, if you go slowly through each motion, you work your muscle through both movements...with dumbbells it's the natural tendency to lift them and then let them fall. Seriously, I LOVE my bands. I have 3 of them (different resistance levels) and they cost a whopping $6."

I realize that a person can't "spot reduce", etc, etc, but I would very much like to work on my inner thighs and maybe get them to look smoother. I can't believe I've actually been wearing shorts looking like that :o Anyone have any luck with any particular move? I know I have to do my cardio and burn off overlying fat to begin with but I'd like to begin to tone up beneath the fat! (although it seems very difficult to get rid of that fat :( ) I'm also thinking of picking up some sort of thigh cream to rub in, because although I know it won't exactly reduce them, maybe they'll look smoother and less... 'burbly', for the lack of a better word!"

I don't own a resistance band, but come tomorrow I definitely will! :D I'm going to try that out. I just was shocked at the way my thighs looked on that video! I mean, yeah, the camera adds 10 lbs... but geesh... :(
Thanks for the tip! I will be going out to get that band!!!"

For training, I love squats, lunges and floor work, such as lying on the floor on the side, legs stacked, hips one on top of the other. Then lift the top leg up and down. Also, lift up the top leg a bit and make circles with the legs. This probably sounds foreign without pics, but google leg exercises or inner thigh exercises and you can probably find more exercises and pictures too."
