Does Anyone Else Feel This Way...

UniqueMystique said: "The dizziness probably has to do with how many calories you are consuming. I'd bet that you were consuming a hefty amount before your healthy change and your body is reacting. Try and figure up a rough estimate of what you wre consuming before and what you're consuming now. I'm sure it's a huge difference."

He'd keep packets of the seeds with the shells still on them all over the place (in his desk, in his truck, end table, by the bed, etc). He said that cracking the seeds open and making that movement with his hand to the mouth satisfied the urge to bring a cigarette to his mouth."

Just the other day I had a bit of ice cream and chocolate and shortly after my stomach began to hurt. Is this normal ? Is this something that happens because your body is used to having healthy foods in it... Thanks... Also, is it normal to feel a bit light-headed when you are first starting to eat healhier by excluding high intakes of sugar in your daily diet???"

Diana2682 said: "Thank you all for taking the time to answer my questions. I love getting feedback from you guys...keep up the great work:) You are all probably right. I was consuming a greater number of calories prior to my health adjustment and although I am a social smoker I am trying desperately to stop that because it's not benefiting me at all. I love to exercise and I don't want this to prevent me from doing the things I love so much, like jogging and cycling. That could possibly explain the headaches."

Instead of excluding them 100% it's better to have just a tiny bit once or twice a week. Try getting a bitsize piece or Hershey's Dark Chocolate once or twice a week, it's better than milk chocolate because it actually provides nutrients that are good for you. Have you been drinking milk or getting much dairy? If not, that could be why you began to feel unwell when eating the icecream. Besides that, it could've just been bad icecream. Try not to crash on sugar when dieting either, because it WILL come back to bite you. Your metabolism will become foreign to unnatural sugars, and when you eat them your body won't handle them quite well--causing your light headedness. If y ou really feel this isn't because of your diet, I would advise a doctor visit. It's probably your diet changes though if you've made dramatic changes. Give it a while, and if it continues see a doctor. Hope that could help!!!"

She likes to sew and such, and she's gardened alot and that's kept her from smoking also. She says her WORST time for smoking is in the car, because driving for her is such a natural task she doesn't have to think about, so we're trying to think of ways to make that a less agreeable time for her to smoke, but what can you do to keep your hands busy in the car that won't put our lives in jeopardy!? We thought maybe one of those "worry stones" that you rub your thumb on, and that way one hand is on the wheel and one hand is busy. If you have the same car-smoking problem, I think that might help you."
