Massage helps too, since it increases the circulation to your muscles and helps you rebuild tissue faster. One thing about working out really regularly though: eventually you will get to the point where your body gets really efficient at repairing the damage and you won't get as sore for as long. Hope you're feeling better :)"

WATER WATER WATER during and following your workout helps flush the lactic acid that builds in your muscles and causes soreness. It won't elminate it, but it will definately help. Lots of stretching throughout the day...it's painful to do but will help :)
Hope your muscles bounce back quick!"

Is there anything I can do to relieve this pain besides popping ibuprofen? I tried to eat some extra protein today. I was thinking that it would help my muscles, since the pain is caused by your muscles tearing and rebuilding. Any suggestions?"

It does feel good to be sore from workouts, but this was a little too sore for me! I know that I will bounce back in a few days as my body gets used to this new very tough class.
I will take your advice! It's funny about the toilet comment, I woke up in the middle of the night to go, and thought I wasn't going to be able to get back up! hehehe"

I love feeling sore the day after a workout, it reminds me all day that I did something good for my body. I really haven't been getting sore at all, I think that I need to be a bit tougher with my workouts:rolleyes:"
