Xantrax

jewly said: "Opps .yeah we call our drug store a chemist or pharmacy. It's where we can get our prescriptions filled and where we can buy a lot of over-the-counter type medications. I think Xantrax used to be on prescription but it's now just on the shelf. Normally I wouldn't buy an appetite suppresant but because I have PCOS it makes it harder for me to lose weight and I'm afraid that if I don't start losing more weight each week that I will give up entirely and I need to lose weight for my health. It's marketed as a 'weight loss formula', and as an aid to losing weight, so I think it has other benefits than just helping to suppress the appetite. I spoke to the chemist to make sure that it wouldn't interfere with any of my current medications and she looked up some info on it for me and she told me there was no problem with me taking it. It contains:- 2000mg Green Tea 2000mg Bitter Orange 1500mg Guarana 500mg Yerba Mate 500mg Panax Ginseng Plus a whole host of vitamins and minerals."

Just be aware that it may keep you awake if you take it at night, some of those pills have caffeine or other stimulants in them. What I do to prevent myself from eating at night is to drink water or hot tea and work on the cross stitch sampler I'm making for my soon-to-arrive niece or nephew :) Have you tried distracting yourself with other activities?"

spectrachic311 said: "Heehee...I think "chemist" is the British term for pharmacy, right? Yeah, ask your doctor about what it contains and if you are on any other medicines that it might interact with."

Did you know most people don't consider herbs or vitamins drugs but in the wrong dosage they can harm your body like any other drug, and a lot of them do cause problems if you are already on some type of medication. So it is always a good idea to check with a doctor!"

Brina said: "I always get nervous when people I know use diet pills because when used wrong or if the pills are not good they can be detrimental to your health. This teen in my state had a heart attack from some pills he bought at Walgreens that could have been prevented if he had asked his doctor first. I would definately ask my doctor before I go on a diet pill. He/She can tell you if the pills right for you and maybe even subscribe something better."
