Starving

glitter girl said: "Ever since I started working out, I feel like I am STARVING! I try to eat healthy but I can never seem to be full. I know that it's affecting my body even with the work out. Is there anyone who has had this that has any tips or is there any healthy filling food, or anything to help me keep my food under control? Please please let me know, it would be greatly appeciated!"

I eat like crazy and still don't feel full..it's strange. also even when I am dieting. three good snacks are Rica cakes, they are high in fiber and are so good and satisfying. also Rold gold Honey wheat braided twists, a hand full is pretty filling and tasty. and also Special K Vanilla Cereal bars, 90 Cals. for one bar and is takes care of a sweet tooth and really fills that empty space."

klynnfosh said: "If your body is sending you hunger signals then there is a reason. Try drinking some water and if you still feel the hunger then have a healthy snack. I think I read that you should have a carb before working out to help give you energy for the workout. I would try that in either a whole wheat toast with some peanut butter, or some brown rice and a small bit of chicken. It should fuel your workout and they are good for you as well. And you may need to up your calories the harder you work the more muscle you build and the more fuel your body requires or the more food it requires to operate efficently. So listen to your body and eat if you are starving!"

Someone told me that it was my body telling me that it needed more energy than I was giving it because I was working it so hard. It worked! You might want to count your calories for a few days. When I did this, I found that I was eating much less than I realized."

If you eat a lot of nutrient-rich foods, like soy and dark green leafy vegetables, you'll begin to notice the opposite problem. I eat fairly healthfully, and I am almost NEVER hungry."
