Scared of saggy skin...

Big K said: "Hi, Im new here and new to the whole dieting scene, so excuse me if I say something totally stupid :) Im a 17yr old male, 5"7, and am very active. Im also very BIG, I was 220lbs when I decided to take the plunge into trying to lose weight. I'll try and give you an idea of what I've been doing. First I decided I was going to count calories and make sure I burn more then I take in. So I was curious on how much I was originally takeing in, so one day i decided to write down everything I ate for one day then at night count how many calories I had taken in. It turned out it was about 3500 calories. I did some research and decided to limit myself between 1300-1600 calories per day. My physical activity level is pretty high, I play ice hockey 2-3 times a week, basketball once a week, and weight train 2 times a week. I figure this is enough to burn plenty of calories. Im 2 weeks into this routine and I feel AWESOME! Now here comes my only fear.... Iv lost weight very rapidly. In 2 weeks Iv lost 10 lbs. Iv read that healthy weight loss is around 1-2 lbs a week, but I feel great and never had so much energy. With the weight coming off this quickly, am I going to have saggy, ugly loose skin? If I am, I almost feel better staying at 220. I know there is a surgery that can be done, but that is definatley not an option for me :("

Your body should slow down to a normal pace. I dont think that you have to worry about saggy skin. You are young so the skin still is very elastic. Good Luck Kayla"

I didn't and still do'nt have saggy skin, so since you're 17, as long as you're eating healthy foods that will help your body produce healthy skin cells, I figure you don't have anything to worry about. Anyway, I've been there, and I congratulate you on your decision to take the plunge. I'm now in great condition (but still working at it) and involved in martial arts and yoga. Doesn't it feel good to DO something about it?! It's amazing how much more energy one has after taking the plunge."

Big K said: "Thx guys, you guys really did make my day :D. I was really stressed about that issue.I Finished playing hockey about 2 hrs ago and I feel I can go for another hour or 2! Never thought I could feel this good, thx for the help, advice and support. :)"
