glitter girl said: "I've been doing really good with eating lately. I havent been starving myself or eating too much. I had yoga today and I feel good!I noticed that my pants were getting bigger so I hope if there isnt a weight loss success that there is some inches that have been lost!"

glitter girl said: "Hello Everyone! I've had a good weekend and glad I didn't overdo eating or any of that fun stuff. I also went for a hike for exercise. I didn't weigh myself yet because if I see I lost weight, I tend to cheat. So I will soon! Good luck everyone!"

glitter girl said: "Well today was a good day. I didn't pick the healthiest food but I did well. Breakfast- Baby Banana Lunch- 10 chips, 1/2 bologna sandwich on wheat with prov. cheese and pickles, garden salad with lc italian dressing and sunflower seeds, glass of AJ Snack- saltines with lc pb Dinner- 1 cup spagetti with marinara sauce and 4 small meatballs, glass of unsweetend iced tea Snack- undecided I didnt exercise because I had a migrane, but I do have yoga tomorrow. I cant wait to start doing Turbo Jam again, that will be exciting. Well anyways, good luck everyone."

glitter girl said: "Hello again everyone, it's Jamie. I've been gone since I graduated in June. Now I am in college, and yes I have gained about 7lbs. No good! I take yoga twice a week and found my Turbo Jam videos so I can start getting into the grooves of things again. I need everyone's support because I know I can do this! I'm sick of being unhappy with my body. *sigh* So let's pump it and get things started. I am going to use a lot of portion control but not diet as hardcore as I used to be. Definetly start out slow and move on that way. Well... I'll try to write everyday what i had to eat and how much of it. I have no scale here so I will weigh in when I go home! Ciao! Today: Breakfast- Apple and 8 oz LC cran juice cocktail Lunch- Bowl of Special K with skim milk Snack- cheese curls (about 15) Dinner- ? to be determined in a minute or so"

glitter girl said: "I'm finally back after being gone so long. I've lost 4lbs recently because I've been portion controlling. I've also ordered "Turbo Jam" videos and am going to be taking relecore to help speed up the loss for prom. I hope to tone up more than anything. I'm pretty stressed out and that could be causing my tummy to not be flat. But we'll see. I will write more now that I have the internet back, and write on my progress.:) "

glitter girl said: "I should be receiving my "Turbo Jam" videos on Tuesday and I can't wait to get started. I've done good with portion control. I don't want to weigh myself right now because I feel like I'll jinx myself. I did move my makeup and hair routine from my bedroom floor to standing in the bathroom so I don't feel like I'm sitting on my rear a lot. I've also joined the "Treck for Health" shin-dig at my work. So far, so good. You count the total steps for the day, add them at the end of the week, and start over for 5 weeks. Not too bad. Prizes for the most steps but there is like a thousand people joining (no chance in hell)! "

glitter girl said: "I got turbo jam in the mail on friday. I watched the videos (the diet plan starts on a monday) and they are awesome. I really can't wait to get started on them. The music definetly pumps you up. (available at www.beachbody.com) I have a good feeling about the videos, I think this is what I have been waiting for. I have been maintaining my weight of 158 with the right eating, and I know exercise with help me shed some more pounds!"

glitter girl said: "Turbo Jam was so much fun. I haven't sweat so bad in a long time. It got my heart rate up and my body moving. I can tell this was well worth the money and going to give me great results. I recorded my inches yestarday to help track my progress. Chest- 38 Upper R Arm- 12.5 Upper L Arm- 12.5 Waist- 34 Hips- 41.5 R Thigh- 25.5 L Thigh- 25 (in inches) Hopefully with my diet and this program, I will rock my goals!:D"

glitter girl said: "
Hi! Apparently not many people here know what Turbo Jam is (there is only 1 that I know of), but i have been doing it for a month now, and I LOVE it! My day doesn't feel complete unless I have at least done the 20 min Turbo workout. So far today I have done the Turbo Sculpt, and later I hope I have time for Cardio Party or Ab Jam. You'll love it! Holler at me when you get started and tell me what you think. Maybe we can keep each other motivated! :)
It is so much fun, we should definetly keep each other pumped up!"

glitter girl said: "I did my second night of turbo jam yestarday and i really love it! i cant wait to do it again tonight"

glitter girl said: "
I am finally able to complete the Cardio Party without stopping for breath! I still go low impact on the jump rope parts though. Have you tried the Ab Jam? I love the floor routine, and I usually hate anything abs. The part where you walk your hands up and then snake down, well, two weeks ago I couldn't do that at all, and now I can walk my hand up, do the lifts and snake down! My abs are so much stronger! You'll definately see results! Keep it up, girl!
No I haven't yet. I'm following the exercise plan that came in the book and its also on WOWY.com, which is a beachbody site. I worked out doing learn and burn on monday and tuesday, and then 20 minute workout on wednesday and thursday, then I'm suppose to take 3 rest days. Next week I believe I start Ab Jam, but I'd have to look. It definetly gets you in shape fast, I definetly know how you feel. After I get the videos down (which tend to be confusing the first time) I will be able to put more into them. They are really fun too, I love it:D"

glitter girl said: "I've done my workouts for the week and I have forbidden myself to weigh myself until next week and remeasure at the end of next week. It is pretty exciting I must say. I feel like a new person, its totally awesome that i found a workout video that works great :o"

glitter girl said: "I have done my 3 day rest and am ready to workout tonight. This is the week plan with turbo jam: Monday-20 minute Tuesday- 20 minute/Ab Jam Wednesday- Cardio Party Thursday- 20 minute/Ab Jam Friday- 20 minute Pretty pumped to start working out again :)"

glitter girl said: "I did most of my workout tonight, but when it got to 5 minutes left I just couldn't do it anymore because my menstrual cramps were so severe. I wish they weren't as bad as they are. :( Tomorrow should be fine though, can't wait to get pumping."

glitter girl said: "
Dont feel bad, at least you put effort into it, I get cramps so bad I can barely even stand up more or less work out, luckily it's only 1 really bad day, that severe, I get so bloated and crampy that I can't even eat as much as usual so I end up just laying in bed, watchinig t.v and going to sleep early, you're body is telling you something when it hurts, be it extreme fatigue or cramps you should rest, take it easy and not feel bad for it. You at least did all but 5 min!! That's great!!
Before I started taking the pill to help out, I used to be bed ridden. I would throw up so hard I couldn't breathe. I feel sorry for anyone else who has to go through that. I think I will take those days off and use a rest day to make up for it. It definetly should be a day to relax but I heard exercise can help so I did try. Thanks for being supportive :)"

glitter girl said: "Ab Jam was definetly awesome. I was really excited to do it and it is fun ab work compared to just standard crunches. I can really see a difference in how I look and I am totally enjoying it. Anyone who is doing turbo jam, let me know if it rocks! I love it!:D"

glitter girl said: "All I can say is, WOW! that really gets your muscles burning. I did Ab Jam and half of Turbo Sculpt. I don't want to over do it yet, I'm trying to build up slowly. Weigh and Measure tomorrow. We'll see where I got. :) If no lbs, then i hope some inches!"

glitter girl said: "I haven't worked out in a week and I feel bad. I've been so busy with finals that I haven't had time to squeeze a good workout in. I will workout Tuesday since i have awards night tomorrow. I am having withdrawls and i feel poopy! I'm also sick and so clogged with boogies that I can't breathe. I wish I could just work out!"

glitter girl said: "It's finals week and I'm too busy to update everyday but I am not doing good but after friday I will be back on track!"

glitter girl said: ""Hey, look! Jamie is back for another round" Yes I am back. I have let myself go at college. There is currently no good healthy food to eat at the cafe and I have a hard time getting to the store because I do not have a car. I need some help, I've just let myself go. But I am willing to diet and exercise again with the help of all my buds at Featherish"

glitter girl said: "Let's see... it is Tuesday and my last post was earlier this week. I'm totally ready to do this. I do have to eat at school and don't really have the money to buy groceries. College food is totally gross and there is never anything good and healthy to eat so I have to deal with greasy food that I will eat. I will keep a log to see what I can do to make it better Comments are very welcome!"

glitter girl said: "I went home for the weekend and the internet was down. I left my journal at home with what I ate. I did very well this weekend with eating. I was pretty dissapointed that all my summer clothes with a bit snug and I ended up getting pretty emotional. I didn't weigh myself either because I was down enough about the clothes that I figured if I had a increase in weight I would get more upset. I'm pretty much over it now. There is only like 3 weeks left with school and when it ends, I am going to be able to make this easier on myself and then I can do my "Turbo Jam" videos which I am in love with. My dorm room is way too small for it. Each day gets brighter for me. I need to quit smoking, but I don't really want to at the moment, so that is going to be my next challenge. I just want to say a special "Thanks" to lakelady for sticking through here with me. Also, Naynay, I had a good weekend except for that incident. I will post later with my eatings for the day."

glitter girl said: "I'm so excited to be losing weight. I just feel like a better person on the inside and out. I know I am not giving it my all at the moment but in 2 weeks I will be able to work out. I wanted to post my clothing sizes to go along with the inches that I posted Shirts- Large Underwear- Large Pants- 12 Bra- something like 36 B? If I lose what I want or at least half, I am going to spoil myself with a new bathing suit from Victorias Secret. I think I will probably end up weighing more than I want to be at because of the muscle I will be gaining. I also feel that I will be losing some breast haha I'll post later with my meals but so far I did manage a breakfast. B-Special K fruit and yogurt with skim milk, activia fat free yogurt"

glitter girl said: "Hello Everyone! I've missed being on this site but I've been working my tail off this summer. I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't been slacking off. I've been doing pretty good with dieting, and now have time to work out. Turbo Jam isn't working for me just yet because it is too hard to start off with so I have been doing Debbie S.'s Slim in 6. I love those videos and forgot how great they are. I have maintained my weight, still 170. I got to thinking today too because I have only been doing portion control on how to lose weight. I figured that it would be ok to do what I do at work with people everyday. I do calorie counts with diabetics all day long. I know about the carbs, fruits, veggies, fats, etc. I found a website that said I should go on about 1800 calories a day. This should be easy, I'm pretty excited! Well it is time to workout, maybe after the workout I can take different measurements."

glitter girl said: "
Nice to hear that everything is going okay for you, Jamie. How do you like slim in 6?
Slim in 6 is great. It's not as "pumpy" as Turbo Jam but I see and feel about the same results. There are less videos also but I find them to not get boring so easy and really work. It would be good to start with but you would eventually have to move on to other things I would think. I would tell everyone to try it, Debbie is great!"

glitter girl said: "Everything has been going good. Just wondering if anyone has heard if it is better to work out during the day or night, or does it not matter?"

glitter girl said: "5lbs lost! How exciting! I can't believe this is actually working. It's not even as hard as I thought it would be! Thanks for being there everyone!"

glitter girl said: "I've decided to try to do weight watchers. I am not really losing any weight by what I am doing now so maybe this will kick it in. I went to the doctors today and she said that I was overweight on the BMI scale. I'll let everyone know what happens!"

glitter girl said: "No luck on getting time for weight watchers, I work too much! In order for this to work I would have to sit down on a day off and plan my meals for the rest of the week, which couldn't hurt but I'm not quite sure what time and where my next meal is going to be. On another note, I recently have become really really hungry at breakfast time and lunch, but not really at night. Any ideas why?"

glitter girl said: "I have ordered the Michael Thurmond's 6 Week Body Makeover. It's going to take a while to get here but I will make sure I share everything with you all. I'll keep you posted on when it gets here and what it is all about other than what we read and see on TV"

glitter girl said: "Today is my 4th day on the Body Makeover. It's really not that bad but you cut out sugar and salt like its going out of style. My pants feel looser than normal but I haven't wanted to weigh myself until the 1 week mark. My mom said it looked like I lost weight so maybe its true, but I just don't want to jinx it. I had my period this past week and it says you might not lose any weight during that week because of your hormones but we will see. I think the 100oz of water really helps you cut the cravings because if I feel hungry I just drink more water until meal time. The program said if you feel hungry you should add an ounce of protein to your meals but I think I just think I need to eat because I am bored or usually eat junk at that time. We'll see later if it makes a difference. Weigh in day is Tuesday so I will let everyone know the progress. On another note, school starts next sunday (26th) and that is exciting but I hope it doesn't ruin my diet plans. "

glitter girl said: "
Let me know how that works out for you. I got a secondhand kit of that Body Makeover, and I couldn't last a day! So I give you major props for being able to stick with it for even just four days! Are you doing the excersizes with that band thing? How is that working for you?
I haven't been doing their exersizes because you have to use a door that locks and I don't have one that would be near a tv to do the workouts with. I think I am just going to different workouts instead of theirs. I really like the diet right now so I hope it makes a difference."

glitter girl said: "Ok so far the 6 week body makeover is good. Only 2lbs lost but I lost 10 inches all over my body so it is working great!"

glitter girl said: "I am so sick of eating eggwhites that it is unreal. I'll have to start eating a different protein in the morning. Back to school on sunday so I'm not sure how well this workout/diet will be because I am going to be busy!"

glitter girl said: "Well, I am back at school and back off track again. I blame it all on what the school has to offer for food and I can't afford my own food. I started my badminton class which is not just backyard bbq. It's running, stretching, sweating, and everything good. I am getting exercise from that but haven't done much other than that. I'm hoping I can figure something out for me to diet. I am going to LA in February and would love to lose some weight before I go. 6 week body makeover went very well, I lost 10 inches but gained them back because I can't find any food to work with it here. Anyone have any ideas about what food at the dining hall would be ok? Any suppliments I could take? Let me know!"

glitter girl said: "Well, this February I am going to LA! Weight loss is needed. I've put back on more inches and more weight than when I went to school. No big deal, 6 week body makeover went over well last time, so this time I'm sure it will be great!"

glitter girl said: "I have been working out for 3 days now to start over again with Turbo Jam. I have to update all my stats but I'm glad to be talking to everyone again!"

glitter girl said: "Pretty excited that I lost two pounds this week. Just thought I would share it with you"

glitter girl said: "So far everything with my working out and eating habits have gone good. Hopefully I will lose another pound or 2 this week!"

glitter girl said: "So I started doing Michael Thurmond's 6 week body makeover again. Today is day two and it's been hard. I have had to eat turkey about 100 times since yestarday (ok so not 100 times but you get my point) My chicken was frozen (thankfully its not frozen today) and had to deal with just turkey yestarday. I don't know how to dress turkey up with limited resources but I will have to concoct(sp) something. I worked out a bit yestarday since I am limited on space due to my sister moving back home and having 100 boxes in the living. I hope it works this time, I set realistic goals and think I can really do it this time. I'll let everyone know how it is going. "

glitter girl said: "Thanks, it is good to be back"

Diamond said: "Nice to hear that everything is going okay for you, Jamie. How do you like slim in 6?"

Diamond said: "A trip to LA sounds terrific. I'd suggest eating fresh, whole fruits and vegetables as much as you can. Do you have access to a salad bar? If you have extra $$, you could also consider keeping some fruits and vegetables in your dorm. Things like bananas, apples, raisins don't need refrigeration and can easily be kept around when you're feeling hungry."

lakelady said: "Glad you're back. You're completely new to me. I remember how HARD it was to stay slender in college. Did you buy the campus food plan? (meaning, do you HAVE to eat there) Do you live on or off campus? My first suggestion would be to cobble together a pretty comprehensive grocery list and borrow a luggage cart and go to the store, or beg a ride if it's just too far! You want to lose about 30 pounds, which is EXACTLY what I had gained due to an injury last fall, which prompted me to join here. The support of the people here helped me lose all 30 PLUS some in just a tad over two months! This is gonna be fun Jamie. But you're gonna have to keep up your journal entries a little better! That way we can help you!"

lakelady said: "
I do have to eat at school and don't really have the money to buy groceries. College food is totally gross and there is never anything good and healthy to eat so I have to deal with greasy food that I will eat. I will keep a log to see what I can do to make it better
Yeah, next time...DON'T BUY THE FOOD PLAN! but for now....post a menu, or a list of what's generally on the line. We'll see what we can do to make it better. At least if you're college-broke, you can't buy a bunch of twinkies and ho-ho's. (cold comfort, I know) Don't worry, we'll get around this! There are girls here who have a LOT more recent experience with college than do I. (although, I can't see that it's changed much!)"

lakelady said: "Here's a couple of suggestions. Instead of the croissants (which are 100% butter and enriched processed flour) have a couple of whole wheat rolls or muffins. They won't spike your blood sugar and won't make you tired and hungry later. Switch burger and fries to a sandwich and fat free chips. Take that 12 inch subway, cut it in half, eat one, and take the other one to campus for lunch the next day. Sunchips are a WAY better choice than crackers. Nice going on the journaling. keep it up!"

lakelady said: "Oh Jamie, I've had WAY worse days than that! You're a mere lightweight in the face of some of MY binge days!!! The only TRULY sinful thing on that list was the double cheeseburger. Other than that it looks like you're doing great on your portion control. You can recover from that little slip in no time. try to stay away from non-diet pop though. It'll give you a sugar rush that will make you hungry and tired when it pases. You're gonna do fine."

lakelady said: "
I can NOT wait to start working out, I want to so bad.
You're doing just GREAT! Remind me when you can start working out. I can't remember what your constraints were. (I'm old) Could you maybe jump rope for 10 minutes a say until you can start the real stuff? As far as Cardio goes, 10 minutes with a jump rope is as good as 30 minutes of anything else."

lakelady said: "Well, I like mornings. A workout raises your metabolic rate all day, and gives you a lot of energy. If I work out at night, I'm too revved up to sleep."
