Bit frustrated, kinda grouchy todayBit frustrated, kinda grouchy today
shrkntz said: "I was so motivated to bike to the gym today and found out my bike has a flat tire. It is hard to get re motivated once I have something let me down. I am feeling defeated against excercising today, I still went to the gym but had to do a longer warmup. It was a frustrating let down and I had no time to fix the tire. It felt frustrating. I got on the scale..... I have lost 5 pounds! I am finally losing weight after my plateau at 270lbs. I don't look like I weigh that much...I do. I am plugging away. I was going to the gym lots for 6 months then I quite for 2 months. I was at 245 lbs. I am kind of greiving the weight I gained for not going. I have lots of weight to go to be healthy. I am doing it healthy and slowly. I ate a salad today, felt like a rabbit. I know that I have to do it, eating the right stuff is a chore for me because it just does not taste as good as french fries and a slurpee. My mother in law got us a deep fryer for xmas, all my hubby wants is french fries now. I am just frustrated today and a little vent helps me to focus on the task ahead. I just don't see the 180 lbs me today. I just see and elephant. I went every day this week to the gym.....I could not believe that I have."

I've been there with the issue of vegetables not satisfying me enough.
In fact, back when I was above 200lbs, I didn't even feel full or nourished
after eating healthily like that.
Now, every few days I get a light craving for something high in calories from
sugar and fat, but it's generally due to cold weather. So, I figure it's because
my body it telling me I need to get fat and keep warm so I can hibernate
like a bear. lol.
Because I associate the healthier foods with weight loss and feeling great
after a workout, that makes it easier to rely on them rather than... WOW
a frozen snickers does sound pretty decent right now. BUT I know it will
make me tired, and I'll be one step further away from higher endurance
for the good old muay thai kickboxing.
You think you rambled on, Cyn? lol... look at me.
Anyway, I wish you both a great weekend, as well as the continued
power to push your way the the B.S. that life throws at you, like that
flat bike tire! :)"

If you think that emailing a vent might help. You can email me @ magikchild81283@yahoo.com

I finally pulled out the tape measure again and found out in a month and a bit, that is how much I have lost. Thank you so much, sorry if I don't reply right away, I am still getting over being lazy lol.

I know what you mean about the salad. I have never yet found a veggie that compares to a frozen snickers! I am still trying to get into the mind set of eating to live not living to eat. It is really hard but when I get the urge to eat I just try to take my mind off it by doing anything else-going for a walk, making a phone call, surfing the net, just anything to get the urge to pass. Also I have found that if I think I am getting hungry often drinking a big glass of water will stop my tummy from growling. Didnt mean to ramble on-just hope you are feeling more positive soon :)"
