I have a dream..................

pixiechic said: "hi sarah! you are in good company. :) getting the right frame of mind is always a good idea. if 20 pounds is all that is in question, exercise and a healthy diet should be very helpful. and gauging your happiness and self esteem on what a scales says is nuts. believe it or not, exercise will help to lift your mood. that is because your body releases endorphins that make you feel good. are you a member of a gym or involved in sports or anything?"

I managed to keep most of it off for 3 years but then I had exams and general troubles and I used them as an excuse to put it back on again. I'm just going to be completely honest here because there is no point in lying to myself anymore. I'm not happy and I keep worsening the situation by comfort eating. I am not extremely overweight I just need to lose a stone. I am 5'8 and 144lbs (10 st 4 lbs) and I want to get down to 130. I feel like I am losing control over everything in my life. I want to do this so I become a happier, better new me. My confidence is below zero and I cannot believe or take any compliments I am given because I don't believe them to be sincere. I am trying to motivate myself and I figured this is the best way. I want to share my goal with anyone who is willing to read this so I have a definite plan and a reason to stick to it. I plan to do this in a healthy way and slowly because I know these things take time. I would be very greatful to anyone who is willing to listen to my crap and I would be more then happy to return the favour. I plan to do this in a healthy way and slowly because I know these things take time. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sarah"

If you have access to a gym, 30 minutes a day could really help. ..and the exercise will make you feel better, believe it or not. I always feel better after I get done with a really good workout. It makes me feel proud that I am taking care of my body. It has to serve me for a lifetime. You can do this, too.."

Sassysurfnic said: "Hi I am new too and let me just say, I am in the same exact boat your in! I weigh about 147 and I would like to be back down to 130. I danced all my life and I never felt so good about myself and my technique. Well I haven't danced for about a year or so and because of that I have lost my only sense of exercise and the thing that made me feel good about myself. I can't afford to dance (dance tuition, going back to college, work full-time and a wedding to plan!). I do belong to a gym but I find myself not going anymore because the drive is to far(I moved a couple of towns over) Money is tight so I can't afford a membership, so what I have done is purchase some DVD's to workout to. I have Winsor Pilates Advanced Body Slimming and let me tell you, I love it! The routine is only about 25mins. or so and I do it every morning at 7 and then I take my time getting ready for work (I am there by about 8:30a.m.{about a 15 min.drive}). You have to find motivation and stick to it! Even if you mess up a day(have that cheeseburger{my downfall :o }) it's not the end of the world. You have to understand that. Just take one day at a time and you'll see results! Good Luck to you I know you can do it! :)"
