snacking is a funny thing. you can snack on things like fruits and veggies without having too much concern about calories. it is when you start snacking on foods that have a lot of sugar, sodium and all the other bad stuff you have to worry about. that is what is bad about chocolate. it tastes so good!"

stuff like cookies, chocolate, sodas, and doritos are not good snacks.
stuff like air popped popcorn , carrots, celery, raisins, grapes, apples and oranges are a lot better choices.
i don't know if anyone else here has been able to polish of a bag of doritos and still feel "hungry" ? i know i have and it seems weird to me. you think that you would feel satisfied, but you don't. that is part of the reason there aren't doritos in my house anymore.

The thing about apples is, you burn more calories by digesting them than what you take in by eating them. And pectin is the secret indegrient that makes you feel full. They're full of vitamins, available throughout the year and quite affordable too."

But I know I have to skip it. Just eat an apple if you're "hungry". If you're 30 pounds or more heavier than your ideal weight, than you're not really hungry at all. Nothing worse than watching a fat person saying "I'm starving". Please! The people in Ethiopia are feeling no sympathy."

cvalh said: "i have to snack, or i'll end up binging... binging's a lot worse than just snacking! i love good for you types of popcorn - they're awesome. i'm so used to them, that when i smell buttery greasy popcorn, i almost get nauseated. apples and oranges and grapefruits are yummy, too. the only thing i have trouble getting enough of is protein :-\"
