And I know that any guy or girl with 'em has prolly workd really hard to get 'em that way. but there has gotta be more exercises than just situps."
pixiechic said: "a balance or fitness ball might be something you want to consider. any exercise that you do uses your "core" muscle group (aka abs) to balance. it is fun and onlt costs about 30.00. it is pretty versatile, too.
i've saw some crazy contraptions like the ab lounger. it looks like a lounge chair, but you can do crunches in it. an ab roller is always fun too."
Fagan said: "Thanks for the info. Havin a trim stomach always makes people look better.
I'll check out the ball thing. I think I've saw em before."
gym goer said: "There are a range of exercises that you can complete to get those 6 pack abs. Check out the exercise database at www. gyms. co. nz for a list and even some programmes to get 6 pack abs from the online trainer.
The most important thing is do not focus solely on getting really great abs. You also need to work on your lower back and other core muscles otherwise you can increase the chances of gaining back complaints.
Happy training"
pixiechic said: "what is your favorite exercise, gym goer?
i know you have an extensive database to search, but what works for you?"
sky said: "The ball is really great I use it and Ive had three children you cant tell. I use a yoga pilates combination. The thing is you will get a 6 pack but it will look a little different, because youre not ripping your muscles. Your posture will improve alot, but you wont have abs like in a bowflex ad."
Yum said: "Ok, I wouls definately reccomend a lot of pilates, which is awesome. Don't forget resistance bands and a ball! Also, the most time consuming is cardio. try running with your dog. Umm, you can't eat too much junk! Eat healthy! I'm working at it!"
Julienne said: "I'll bet that bellydancing would have to work.
When you see most bellydancers, very few of them are heavy. It looks kinda hard to do, though."
pixiechic said: "lol. i bought a bellydancing video series a while back ago.
i tried it one time because the production was so bad. it wasn't instructional at all. they just showed her smiling face through the whole thing. if you are really considering bellydancing, a real instructor might be a better way to learn how.
don't spend money on a video that doesn't instruct you at all."
featherish said: "You have to cut your bodyfat enough that the muscle can be seen."
Heather said: "I have always wanted them. Any suggestions on how to get them?
I know sit ups help, but there have got to be other ways to get them.."

I saw one at Wal-Mart today for 17.00.
Pretty inexpensive, but I don't think it came with a video. I might pick one up the next time I'm there. Do you know what types of exercises I can do on it?"
spectrachic311 said: "Not everyone can get a 6-pack, though. It not only depends on your fat %, but also the shape of your tendons/muscles in your abs. Women tend to have longer, more flexible tendons along the rector abdominus muscle so that they can accomodate a baby. This means that even if a woman is slim, she probably won't get a 6-pack. I have well-defined abs, but they are definitely feminine and my stomach is "rounder" than a guy's would be. No matter how I work those muscles, the only way I'm getting a 6 pack would be to have those tendons shortened surgically (Janet Jackson did that surgery and there is speculation that Britney Spears also did it)"

I agree with this post."
Monster said: "Hi...
I`m 17YO and I have a 6 pack stomach, I`m from SLOVENIA, EUROPE.
The perfection of let`s say Usher Raymonds 6pack is my wish, but there is no easy way to get there...
I still support the theory if you want something hard, you will work hard to get it. I do about 50 push-ups a day for the sholders, and about 150 sit-ups for the 6 pack. It can not look good if you have a stomach to die for and no sholder muscles...or the other way around!!!
So if anyone is interested to chat with me or giving me some advise please do..
Thank you in advance....Monster"
