Plateau question...

suzie1realtor said: "All of you guys hang in there! You will break your plateau. Maybe try shaking up your caloric intake a bit to break through. Like try 800 calories one day 1,200 the next etc. If that doesnt work maybe vary your workouts a bit alternate cardio with weight training and see if that helps. I believe in the reduced calorie diet combined with cardio because thats what worked for me. Whatever you do dont get discouraged! Good luck"

The first week I lost a whopping 3kg which is expected when you first start back - lots of water weight. But nothing since! I've tried everything that's been suggested on this forum. Mixing up the exercise with a good balance of cardio and strength training and varying calorie intake. My measurements haven't changed either. I'm really fed up! I'm hanging in there, but it's no fun at all when you can't see results for all the hard work, and I don't know about anyone else, but I find that it really IS hard work! So all I can say is keeping doing all the right things and hopefully very soon you'll see some results. Keep us posted. I'm very keen to hear how other people break through these ongoing pleateaus. :)"

I'd love some viewpoints because I've been 140 pounds for about 3 weeks now and yes that time of the month is coming up but I really don't want to be discouraged. I realize I look good but I want to be in my optimal health. I've upped the intensity of my workouts and I'm taking in 1400 calories every day and some days I vary it a bit to shake up my metabolism . I do weight training and increased my weights. I would feel better I think if my measurements had decreased but they are all the same. I'm also about 10-15 pounds from being my height's ideal weight. I'm 5 foot 6. Anyone who can help I'd be eternally grateful!"

Kaystar123 said: "Thanks! You too! My weight is definately going to come off slower...but I'm only 10 pounds away from my ideal LEAN weight so of course its gonna get harder for me! :) YAY!!! WAY to go US! :P"
