I just bought a bike

My fiance and I got bikes last spring and rode from Fitchburg to Dodgeville (if you live in Wisconsin, you might be sort of familiar with that area...if not, it was about 30 miles one way, I think). It's nice and lower-impact, so you can do it longer than say, running or something. Congrats on the bike purchase and I hope you are able to put some miles on it soon! :)
thats a good bit of miles to get under your wheels! how long did it take you?"

pixiechic said: "new bikes are always fun. they are probably a lot better than the ones that had banana seats and sissy bars!"

pixiechic said: "if you have the extra money, it could serve as a new inspiration to use it. a 15 year old bike that needs work is likely to be left collect dust. (at least in my house) i was looking around at bikes and a lot of them are pretty nice. better body positioning."

He likes to go with me since we did not do that when I was young. I like feeling the wind in my hair and the downhill rides. We are planning an out of town bike ride. I work my legs especially at the gym just so I can prepare for a long ride. I used to ride my bike all the time as a kid, you shoulda saw when I got back on one last spring. I felt like I had ridden a horse for 10 hours and my whole body especially my legs ached. I walked like I rode one too hehe,Now, I can ride up a few hills without gasping. I would never own a stationary one. Not enough scenery."

Henrietta said: "It dawned on me the last time I was thin was the last time I rode a bike a lot: around 25+ years ago! Me and my friend went to the bike shop and picked up a few nice bikes. These things are nohing like bikes from the old days. We went for a ride tonight but it is still freezing here. I'm hoping in the next few weeks that it gets warmer so I can start my new hobby."

Henrietta said: "I got the Trek 7100! Its a beauty!"

Henrietta said: "So far I love the bike. I've only gotten a few short rides in so far, because of the cold, but the thing rides great! It's snowing today but Spring is just around the corner. This bike should be a great tool to help me lose weight."

Henrietta said: "It has snowed ever since the third day after I got the bike! This is driving me crazy."

Heather said: "Nice! A bike is an excellent way to get some exercise. I checked it out some reviews on it, it had a lot of good ones. Enjoy! I hope you and your friend log many miles together :)"

Heather said: "One thing is, you never really forget how to ride. It is sort of like a homecoming if you haven't ridden in years.. Glad to hear that your dad is doing so well and that you guys are spending some quality time together. :)"

UniqueMystique said: "I've been trying to decide if I want to clean up my old bike and get it up and going or if I just want to buy a new one. :p"

UniqueMystique said: "Mine's an all terrain bike...but it's about 15 years old. Hasn't been ridden in years and years. I'm guessing a new one would be the easy way to get back into riding. Seeing as how this one probably needs tons of work. ;)"

UniqueMystique said: "It's only money....right? We can't take it with us. ;)"
