Usually i hardly ever have get that low on calories and i probably will go over that amount, but it sometimes helps me think that i shouldn't be eating bad things because i don't have the extra calories to play with. And usually the day after eating that much, i'm not too terribly hungry all bad. But i really appricate the concern because i do try to do this the healthy way :)
You seem to be doing a great job too! And by the way, I agree- Cadbury chocolate is wonderful! We get the Cadbury cream eggs for easter.. and my gosh! I could eat like 8 of those eggs (i'd get really sick...) but they are SO yummy!!!"
yoyo said: "Hi Ebony
Do you live on your own? With your parents? In halls of Residence? or are you in charge of your own cooking and eating?
Do you have a lot to lose? Because, you can't sustain a diet of special K bars and cadbury creme eggs and the odd trip to Wimpy. You need to have a balance of
protein:meat chicken, fish, eggs etc
carbohydrates: such as potato, pasta, rice, bread etc
vegetables
dairy products: such as cheese, yoghurt, milk etc
oils- such as olive oil, butter, margarine
Fruit
Even if you had only a small budget, you should eat from each of these groups, less of some and more of others:
If you imagine a plate in front of you...... divided into quarters...... you should have 2 quarters of vegetables, 1 quarter of protein and the last quarter of carbohydrate.
You should keep your fruit and yoghurts for either deserts or snacks.
If you are not that keen on vegetables, you could turn them into soups instead.
Use oil very sparingly - I would say no more than a teaspoon per day
You should cut out fries, crisps, sweets, biscuits, cakes etc
Cut out sugar drastically as well.
Keep your milk for coffee.
I haven't covered all the food groups, such as cereals, pulses etc, but I am sure other members will do that for you.
One of the cheapest places to shop for fruit & veg at the moment are Aldi and Lidle stores
Welcome & Good Luck"
yoyo said: "Hi again Ebony,
I must apologise again for thinking that you ate all those cereal bars through choice!! I didn't realise you were following a specific diet. I used to wish that Haagen Dazs would invent a diet, which consisted of their vanilla ice-cream...... but that was not to be.....
I see that you are pretty much up against it. I was lucky in that I was the only one in the family that went to fat! I was the only one with short, fat legs and 5 ft 4 inches. I always held it against my older brothers and sister as they was 6 feet and slim.
There were no biscuits in the house and after I got married, I was the only foody so my excess weight was due to good living, snacking on all the beautiful foods (like Haagen Dazs) :) , cheese & biscuits, fish suppers, French cuisine, chinese.....I believed I always ate healthily 'cause I never ate processed food and had never been into a mcdonalds or wimpy bar!!!! I never ate salad, unless it was between 2 slices of buttered bread and lagered with mayonnaise.
But, where I feel I am more fortunate that yourself (or luck), I have no problem in the type of food eaten, my husband is totally supportive, so I don't have to watch anyone else eating 'fattening' foods while I am watching my weight. I am doing OK so far, (since 6th January) as long as there is no Haagen Dazs in the freezer!!!!!
Carry on the good fight.
Regards
yoyo"
Ebony said: "Ok, my first ever diary entry:
Food:
Breakfast: Crunchy nut cornflakes, Special K bar, Orange juice
Snack: Half a grapefruit
Lunch: Chicken roll, small portion of oven chips (ate half)
Snack: Two mini cadburys creme eggs
Dinner: Special K red berries, Grapes, apple
Snack: Special K bar
Calories: (Not so good at this, feel free to correct me.) 1,600 take off 200 for exercise makes 1,400?
Drink:
Water: eight glasses (yay!)
Diet pepsi, regular size
Exercise:
Thirty minutes walk/ run (approx ten mins running. phew! hard work lol!)
Haven't felt so good today, slightly sick and tired. :( But i've been pretty happy in myself. Mum treated me to lunch. Unfortunatly it involved Wimpy as she chose, but i think i did ok, i was full up after about half the meal, so stopped eating."
Ebony said: "Thanks yoyo, thats helpful.
I live with my parents,I don't want to make excuses, but they're both obese (my Dad morbidly, i'm hoping that if i do this, it might inspire him cos i'm worried he's not gonna be around much longer) So growing up always revovled around food. Theres always chocolate and crisps and cakes and sweets in the house, but fortunately i earn enough money to buy most of my own food, and Mum's pretty good about letting me take over the kitchen when i get home from work.
The only thing is (and this is the excuse bit, which i know is nasty) It's like my parents WANT me to fail. Yesterday i begged Mum to go somewhere else for lunch, but she wanted to go to Wimpy. She keeps "forgetting" i'm not eating dinner and cooking me chips and pizzas and stuff. Dad keeps laughing at me, saying theres no way i'm gonna lose weight, while he sits there eating my favourite ice-cream or whatever. Sorry. Self pitious rant over."
Ebony said: "Hey Yoyo, No hard feelings, the Kelloggs thing may have helped me lose a bit of weight this week, but it sooo boring. You're right, it's not the best way!
I know what you mean about the Hagan Dazs, it's evil stuff lol! mmm, haagan dazs diet *floats off into own little dream world in which haagan dazs is good for you*
Anyway, back to the real world. *sigh*
Breakfast:
Shreddies, orange juice
Lunch: 2 roast potatoes, one roast carrot, 2 spoonfuls of peas, slice of chicken (skin removed) bisto gravy
Snack: Bar of cadburys caramel chocolate, piece of toast with jam. (Dammit, period cravings. Really really MUST not give into these. Advise on how would be appreciated.)
Dinner: crunchy nut cornflakes, apple
Snack: Small pot of Lf yoghurt.
Drink:
Water: six glasses
Calories: 1,750
Exercise: none. I have spent most of the day drugged up on ibuprofen and attatched to a hot water bottle while reading Bridget Jones. I know this is appalling. Every couple of months i get paralyzing period pain for the first day of my period, and nothing i do makes it go away so i give in and spend the day snuggled up in bed with chocolate and chick lit. The good news is that i should be feling better tomorrow, so 'll be back to working hard."
Ebony said: "I won't be able to get on the computer in the evenings during the week cos my sister hijacks it for her A level revision which is fair enough. So i'm gonna write my journal in the mornings. It may be bit confusing but at least everything'll be writen down, and i find tht I'm more careful about what i eat when i think that other people are abvle to read it.
Today is weekly weigh in and mearsuring day:
I lost two pounds this week, which is kinda weird and rubbish cos i weighed myself on Thursday and i'd lost four pounds, but i have my period so...
I lost half an inch from my waist! And a quarter of an inch from my thighs. (running paying off already!)
I haven't lost anything from my arms though. Does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably free ones?
Food:
Breakfast: Special K (Feel sick this morning, hope I'm not coming down with the virus my Mum and sister have had.)
Lunch: Bowl of tomato soup, two pieces of wholemeal bread. (Really wasn't hungry)
Snack: Bitesize muffin made for me by one of the children at work. (Apparently it was chocolate, but it was blue  )
Dinner: Two hard boiled eggs, salad, half a grapefruit
Snack: Packet of snack a jacks
Drinks: Water: eight glasses (fantastic!)
Exercise: it was chucking it down with rain this morning so couldn't run, but i think i made up for it at work. The children went outside and decided that the best game on Earth would involve me being the snow Queen from Narnia and then chasing them around the playground. Nonstop. For an hour. If i tried to claim that the snow Queen needed her beauty sleep, they chased me.
Calories: 1,200. I know this is not enough, but like i said, i've felt ill. And there is deffo some room for more fruit and veg tomorrow. Will attempt to have fruit instead of something chocolaty for my afternoon snack.
Aw, poor me! hope i feel better tomorrow. I actually missed my run this morning! I never thought i'd say that lol!"
Ebony said: "Here we go:
Breakfast: crunchy nut cornflakes
Snack: Yoghurt
Lunch: Tuna, sweetcorn pasta with salad
Snack: Haf a bar of chocolate, packet of snack a jacks
Dinner: Chicken, boiled new potatoes, salad and sweetcorn (Salad AGAIN thank God it's shopping day tomorrow)
Drink: Water: eight glasses
Diet Pepsi (half a bottle)
Exercise: Thirty minute walk/run, thirty minutes being chased around the playground at full speed. :D
Calories: 1,400. hmm, still one hundred calories to spare. I guess thats good in a way. I'm not eating enough! lol! Must eat more fruit and veg, salad is not exactly a variety. I'll get some different things tomorrow at Tescos.
I've had a brilliant day today, feel loads better, and actually enjoyed my run today. I've discovered that music really works wonders when running, gives you something more interesting to concentrate on than your feet thudding on the ground and your increasingly erratic breathing!
Sunshine really does help to make me want to as well as I can, and puts me in a fantastic mood which seems to help with dieting. Just hope I feel this good tomorrow as well! :D :D :D"
Ebony said: "Hmm, could have done much much better today:
Breakfast: Special K
Snack: Three squares of chocoalate, mug of cuppa soup
Lunch: Pasta and tomato mascarponi sauce half a grapefruit
Snack: half a chocolate muffin, packet of snack a jacks
Dinner half a small portion of chips, one fish cake
Snack: eight fruit pastilles
Exercise: thirty minute walk/run (or rather sliding along the ice, concentrating on not landing on my bum)
Drinks:
Water: six glasses
Diet pepsi (one bottle)
Calories: 1,700 200 hundred too many. not so good.
Have GOT to find something else to do before work which does not involve sitting in a cafe. The problem is that the buses are timed so that if i want to get to work on time, i have to spend forty-five minutes in town, and at this time of year i really can't sit outside reading a magazine. And the shops are boring after a year of seeing them everyday.
I don't know whats happened today. I've had really bad sugar cravins all day. I guess it could be because it's been so cold? I dunno, maybe i just need more will power. This ALWAYS happens midweek. It's like a blooy curse or something"
Ebony said: "Very weird thirty-six hours. I've been helping my best friend move into her first ever flat. Because the cooker and the microwave haven't arrived yet, we've been living off of Boots sandwhiches and cafe food. Still, considering the circumstances, i think i did pretty well:
Thursday:
Breakfast: Special K
Snack: Special K bar
Lunch: Chicken wrap, Lf crisps, apple
Snack: Chocolate cake (Half a small slice)
Dinner: Boots pasta, apple, cereal bar
Drinks: Haven't a clue, loads of water, nothing else though
Exercise:
Nowt, unless shifting furniture counts?
Calories: 1,300
Friday:
Breakfast: Toast and jam
Lunch: Baked potato and cheese with salad from the lunchbox
Snack: Packet of crisps
Dinner: Pork chop, rice
Drinks: Water, loads, Orange juice
Exercise: same as yesterday
Calories: 1,200
It's funny how when you're busy you just don't feel hungry between meals? I know I need a few more calories, but I just haven't had time to think about it the past few days."
Ebony said: "I'm at the computer cos i REALLY want to eat chocolate, but i've already had my daily designated amount :( So, I guess i'll do my journal.
Breakfast: Special K
Snack: one chocolate digesive
Lunch: Stir-fry vegatables with noodles
Snack: three squares of chocolate.
Oh for goodness sake, wheres the fruit and veg? I'm going to go and eat an Apple, this is just silly. AND it looks bad written down.
I'm going to a party tonight. If i want to reach my weekly target of three pounds lost then i have got to make sure i stay of the wine. One glass, and absolutly NO more. I don't want to be drunk anyway. I'll just have a hangover tomorrow."
Ebony said: "Here we go:
Breakfast: Special K
Lunch: Jacket potato with cheese and salad
Snack: Two squares of chocolate, apple
Dinner: Roast potatoes, (2) yorkshire pudding, (1) roast carrot, (1) peas, gravy, beef. (I actaully did very well. Mum cooks these HUGE roast dinners with loads of stuff piled on your plate, but I did the thing where you eat really slowly, and I only managed half of it. Usually i'd stuff it all down in about seven minutes and want seconds.)
Drinks: Water: 5 glasses (not good enough)
Exercise: Two mile walk
Calories: 1,400
Last night went well too. It was a buffet supper thing, and i stuck to mostly carrot sticks, cucumber and celery, and wholemeal sandwiches. For dessert I had a TINY piece of chocolate cake, but the thing is, i was then up all night with stomach ache. Could it be because i've stayed away from rich food for three weeks now? I dunno, and i had one glass of wine and then stuck to Pepsi max.
Weigh in day tomorrow, i bought some new scales yesterday, they record your total weight loss on them, V cool!"
Ebony said: "Another two pounds lost this week, and i've now lost a total of one inch from my waist. If i reach my weekly target of three pounds next week then I will have lost half a stone, I can't wait!
Food so far today:
Breakfast: 1 boiled egg, 2 pieces of toast.
Lunch: Tuna sandwhich, apple, special K bar
Snack: Two bitesized muffins, snackajacks
Dinner: Spagettii bolognaise
Snack: Three squares of chocolate
Drinks: Water: eight glasses, one bottle of diet pepsi
Calories: 1,600"
Ebony said: "So yesterday afternoon I went to Waitrose and bought loads of fruit and vegatables. Considering my family are all so overweight, they certainly get through a lot of MY fruit. There was nothing left in the fruit bowl yesterday except for a wrinkly apple.
Food for today.
Breakfast: Special K (you'd think i'd be bored of that stuff by now, but I really like it  )"
Ebony said: "Today is NOT going well. I have some sort of fluey bug and although I have no energy, I'm also BORED. I hope I feel better soon :(
Breakfast: Shreddies, orange juice
Snack: Slice of angel cake (My Mother trying to make me feel better "you deserve a treat, you've done so well, and you're poorly") Still, mustn't blame her, I chose to eat it.
Lunch: Tomato soup, Brown bread, packet of crisps
snack: 2 kiwi fruits
Dinner: Chicken, salad, one piece of bread
Drinks: Orange juice, water
Calories: 1,250
But despite all this, I do have some good news. Yesterday afternoon I went to Dorothy Perkins and i picked up a size eighteen pair of jeans (I'm usually a size twenty) And they FITTED ME! I started jumping around the changing room like an idiot i was so pleased! I have NEVER managed to get into a size eighteen jeans, so I guess i must be doing something right.
I just hope I don't go off the rails now i'm not well. Thats the usual excuse. ("I'm ill so i'm allowed to eat that cake.") No way, I want to be able to go back and buy those jeans next week and still fit into them."
Ebony said: "So i've just come back from the Dr. Apparently I have a viral illness and I'm not to do any exercise at all for the next five days :(
Still being ill does have some benefits, my appetites completely gone. Yesterday's food:
Lunch: Chicken drumstick, salad
Dinner: Pate on toast X 2
Snacks: Half a packet of cherry drops for my throat (they do actually help even though they're just normal sweets)
Calories: 600
Today's food:
Breakfast: Half a bagel with low fat cream cheese
Lunch: Boots chicken wrap, boots yoghurt with berries and oats.
Dinner: Toast X2 packet of doritoes
Calories: 1,000
The only worry I have is that any weight I lose this week will go back on when im feeling better."
Ebony said: "Brunch: (Got up late.) 2X boiled eggs, 2X wholemeal toast, half a grapefruit
Snack: Kiwi fruit, packet of crisps"
Ebony said: "Was doing my new toning exercises this morning for my back and arms, and I could really see the difference. I can't believe it cos I only started doing them on Friday. At this rate i'll be a size sixteen before I know it! I don't think i'll have lost any weight this week though, as I've been unable to get out and run, or even walk cos i've been ill. Oh well, the scales will reveal all tomorrow I guess. :o
Breakfast: Special K, Kiwi fruit
Snack, half a packet of quavers
Lunch: Pasta with tomato and onion sauce, and salad
Snack: Half a bar of chocolate (so much for the giving up chocolate this month)
Dinner: Potatoes, chicken, carrots, peas
Also, I am afraid to say that as we were at Gran's house, there was also trifle involved.
Calories: 1,650"
Ebony said: "BAD BAD BAD. Weigh in day. VERY BAD."
Ebony said: "Ok, yesterday's tantrum over:
Breakfast: Special K red berries
Lunch: Tuna pasta, salad, grapes
Snack: Special K bar
Dinner: Grilled chicken, boiled potato, carrots
Calories: 1,200
I can't wait until I can start exercising again tomorrow!"
Ebony said: "Yesterday's food:
Breakfast: Special K
Snack: Carrots and celery
Lunch: Pasta and tomato sauce, salad
Snack: Half a McFlurry (Mum bought it for me, i was halfway through it when I realised how thick I was being, so i binned it.)
Dinner: Chicken breast in BBQ sauce, grilled potato wedges, salad
Snack: Cereal bar
Calories: 1,400
Exercise: Thirty minute walk, jumped around the house for almost an hour while listening to the Chicago soundtrack. I suppose you could call it dancing.
Today's food:
Breakfast: special K, cereal bar
Snack: Aero chocolate
Lunch: Jacket potato with Lf cheese, salad
Snack: Fruit pastilles
Dinner: Chiken stirfry.
I've had a really bad day as far as sugar goes today. Dunno whats wrong with me."
Ebony said: "Yesterday:
Breakfast: Cornflakes (yep the special K obsession has finally lifted!)
Snack: Half and aero
Lunch: Potato and tuna salad
Snack: Half a muffin, snack a jacks (back at work :( )
Dinner: Sweet and sour chicken with rice and peppers
Snack: Mini cadburiys creme egg
Calories: 1,500
I dunno whats wrong with me at the moment, I keep finding chocolate in my mouth. I don't even notice i'm doing it until i'm halfway through."
Ebony said: "I'm never drinking again.
I don't think I even want to know how many calories are in WKD blue. Or the pizza I shared while watching friends at my mate house once we'd managed to get home. I dunno, I walked about four miles last night, (No money for Taxi) and spent at least three hours dancing, so maybe it's not all that bad. And i've had such a bad hangover that I haven't been able to eat anything except a bread roll.
Anyway, heres the damage:
Breakfast: Cornflakes
Lunch: Ham salad
Dinner: Stirfry
"snack" Three slices of vegetable pizza from snappys. (seem to remember having the idea that the vegetables would make it ok)
Drinks: 2 glasses of Babysham, two Zambookas, four WKD blues.
Calories: No idea. Don't want to know. Am going to go for a six mile walk to make up for it.
To make it worse, i'd been really careful about what I ate all day so I could have a couple of drinks. But guys kept buying me more without even asking. Not an excuse, but I didn't want them to feel bad.
If anything though, I have remembered why I don't get hammered very often. It'll be a long time before I do it again.
So the next couple of days I'm just going to have to be really strict. Aim for 1,200 calories and fourty minutes of exercise a day. We'll see the full extent of the damage tomorrow when I weigh and measure."
Ebony said: "Weigh in day.
I lost 2lbs though I don't know how
My stomach howver has expanded by two inches, telling the truth about how much alchahol and pizza i consummed on Saturday. lost a bit off my arms and thighs as well, but nothing worth mentioning.
Breakfast: Poached egg on toast
Lunch: BBQ chicken salad wrap, cereal bar, quavers
Snack: Cheese and chive breadsticks (six spread throughout the afternoon)
Dinner: Gridled Venison, ciabbata bread and salad. (Mums cooking)
Calories: 1,300
Exercise: Fourty minute walk, half an hour playing chase at work, Walked children to the park, (twenty minutes) general park type playing. (Half term, have loads of kids to entertain)"
Ebony said: "Hmm. Valentine's day is full of hazards. And I'm single. I feel sorry for those on diets with partners today.
Breakfast: Half a grapefruit
Snack: cereal bar, heart shaped biscuit made by the children at work. I feel the chocoalte icing and Haribo jelly hearts on top may have let me down somewhat.
Lunch: Chicken salad sandwich. cereal bar, LF crisps
Snack: Apple, quavers
Dinner: 2 roast potatoes, butternut squash, peas, carrots, goose, gravy. (My Mother's throwing a dinner party for Valentine's day, and I was the odd one out at the end of the table :( )
Calories: 1,500
Exercise: Thirty minutes of follow my leader, I can't remember the last time I jumped around so much!"
Ebony said: "Appauling day.
Breakfast: Cornflakes
Snack: Slice of white bread at work (the children were making fairy bread)
Lunch: Cheese spread sandwhich, cereal bar, 2 kiwi fruits
Snack: Half a chicken sandwhich, jam donut. (No excuse but lunch was at quarter to twelve. I left work at four thirty and went to tesco's with Mum, I was under the delusion that if I ate something then, I wouldn't want any diiner)
Dinner: Sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice
Snack: Go ahead yoghurt slice thing, Kettle chips, half a chocolate ring donut.
Calories: something like 2000.
I Know what went wrong though. I'm completly exhauseted, which makes me crave carbahydrates, The children have been a nightmare all day, and it was my turn to organse the theme day this week, so i've been running around trying to rearrange my plans cos our room was out of bounds today for a teacher training course.
On top of that, we're moving to our new premises tomorrow so have been throwing all the toys and resourses randomly into boxes, only to find that some little angel has taken out said toys three minutes late to play with.
My friend was was supposed to be coming over tonight, but as she has a drinking problem, she ended up calling me from the pub, completly hammered and raving about missing the bus.
Very bad day."
Ebony said: "Yesterday:
Breakfast: Marmalade on toast, half a grapefruit
Lunch: Tuna pasta and sweetcorn
Snack: Carrot sticks, or goldish as the children have fondly taken to calling their healthy orange snacks
Dinner: Chicken salad and jacket potato
Snack: half a Hershy bar. My sister has just come back from America loaded up with varius things going by the names of "Oreos" "Twizzlers" and Hershy bars. No offence meant to anyone, but how can you stomach Hershy bars? I'll send over some cadbury's chocolate, and you'll never look back! :D Oreos are nice though.
6pm:
Woah, i'm exhausted! I bought a pretty good pedometer in town today, and took it out for a test run to Hardye's monument. I missed the shortcut I was taking last summer, so ended up adding another two miles on to my walk, but it was worht it cos when I checked my cute pink little counter when I got home, i'd walked just under eleven miles, and burned off 1,035 calories, so I know I've had a good day!
Food: Breakfast: Toasted hot cross bun, half a grapefruit
Lunch: Chicken wrap, salad, yogurt
Snack: Packet of refreshers sweets, packet of quavers
Dinner: Jacket with cheese and bacon, salad
Other: glass of white wine
Calories: 1,300"
Ebony said: "Pedometers really seem to make a difference to walking. I feel really motivated at the moment as far as exercise is concerned. I'm aiming for ten thousand steps a day, which is enough of a challange to make me want to do it, but not so much that I give up after two days and slump infront of the tv stuffing myself with crisps and moaning about being useless.
Odd thing though, when I went for that huge walk on Friday, ny new jeans were slightly snug around the thighs, I put them on the next day, and they fit perfectly. Very weird, I don't see how I could have lost that much from my thighs just because of one walk, but I have. Oh well, certainly not complaining!
Yesterday:
Breakfast: Go ahead bar (not hungry)
Snack: Packet of refreshers
Lunch: Grilled chips, one sausage
Snack: Half a Hershy bar (shared with my sister who seems to have become addicted to American food. We had to treck around Tescos yesterday looking for Oreo cookies.) (
Dinner: Chicken and noodles with carrots, spinage and cabbage (yeuch!)
Calories: 1,200
Exercise: Two mile walk, One hour dancing around my room with my best mate."
Ebony said: "Ouch! I've strained a muscle in my back. I can't move. :(
Weigh in day: I lost 2lbs again this week, and half an inch from my stomach. :D
Yesterday's food
Breakfast: Half a grapefruit
Lunch: Potato with cheese bacon and salad
Snack: Go ahead bar, 2 digestive biscuits
Dinner: Chicken, potatoes, peas, carrots
Snack: Half a bar of chocolate
Exercise: Twenty minute walk (raining) thirty minutes dancing before I did my back in.
Calories: 1,600"
Ebony said: "oops, have been neglecting my journal.
Thanks Kat :D
Have had a TERRIBLE few days. Well, actually thats not true, If it had just been a couple of days, It probably wouldn't have made that much difference, but I just continued with it for most of the week, and now I'm as bloated as anything. I need to learn that eating pizza at four in the morning while watching most haunted and finishing off a bottle of wine which hs been dragged around various nightclubs with us, is NOT going to help my weight loss in any way shape or form.
I'm having a slight problem. I'm feeling so much more confident having lost a bit of weight, I'm really noticing changes, and I can now officially go in to any shop and pick something up, knowing they'll have it in my size. But I seem to be in the frame of mind where I feel good, so I'm not too bothered about eating high calorie foods. Thats when the trouble starts. it' all well and good for one or two days, but the majority of the week eating junk and drinking too much will see me back to my original weight in less then a fortnight.
So, tomorrow is a new week, and a fresh start with my diet. I will buy lots of fruit and veg in town, and follow Kat's lead by dragging Kenetic out of it's box and actaully turning it on. I enjoy that game, I just need to get myself to do it to start with.
I'll know the full extent of th edamage tomorrow. If i've lost weight, then I'll know that some kind of a God somewhere is smiling on me. Though I'll never know why..."
