Mornings.....

krazyglue said: "Does anyone have any tips to offer me to get myself out of bed earlier in the morning so that I can exercise? I don't have a lot of time after school and I have extracurriculars after school as well, so I can't do it then. I swear that I think the motivation of losing weight and feeling better will be enough, but after an all-nighter it just doesn't seem to be. (I swear, with obesity being such a grand problem in the US these days, you think they'd lay off the work load to give us the time to do these things.) Another question, about how many pounds lost equals one smaller pants size? An average. And about how much should I reduce my calorie intake?"

Put the clock where you have to get out of bed so you can wake up a little and not climb back into bed. As far as calories and pant sizes...I am not sure on that one. How many calories are you taking in through the day? 1200-1500 cal/day is what I do. Everyone is different on what they do. Ok...now get out of bed and get to working out! :p"

krazyglue said: "I did for a while, but then I told myself the damn thing was just too loud. So I moved it back to my bedside. I think I'm going to have the move that bad boy further away again. I can't wake up when I turn the alarm off and still stay in bed. I'm too tempted to sleep. :o"

pixiechic said: "here is a clever idea. A sunrise simulator it simulates a natural sunrise so your body clock is stimulated. it makes a lot of sense.."

pixiechic said: "it is! it looks like you can set the light to start at any time, and it will simulate the sun rise. it is an unconventional way to do things, but hey..if it helps in the morning to "get your day on" it would be worth it.."

krazyglue said: "That is a good idea. I'll look into that. Thanks."

Elaine said: "..and put it across the room so you can't hit "snooze" Then run to the bathroom and splash your face with some cold water.. Okay.. maybe warm water.. then get ready to go. It seems that when the days get warmer, getting up is easier.."

Darren said: "Yes indeed. A really annoying alarm clock is a contraption that make sure you get up. Hide it somewhere, so it takes a few minutes to turn it off :)"
